It is probably inevitable but let's say we bring in Calafiori this summer and keep Bremer, he settles into this defense and has a solid first year under his belt, it would make it a lot easier to let go off Bremer next year as opposed to selling him this season and asking Calafiori to basically lead the defense. And if we get another CB alongside Calafiori, that's two new defenders that we would be bringing in to rebuild our defense. Not an ideal scenario.

I hope we keep him for a long time but there's not a single player in this squad I would lose sleep over if we sold them.

I was thinking maybe the best would be to do a complete rebuild this year and get it over with, but you have a good point.

I think his intentions are rather clear after this interview, basically confirmed that he is not planning on staying here if the right offer is on the table, the only cryptic part at this stage is whether that offer arrived yet or if whoever wants him is able to match Juve’s asking price too.
