no one was remotely close to being as impressive as Forlan last year
Another fine, overlooked example.

Another thing, being poor for the last 4months makes it easier on me and other to pick Xavi over the poor Sneijder for the last 4months.
But nobody wins notable European or World championships in November.

I mean, Cannavaro won the prize while he was technically sucking ass at Real Madrid. Buffon was in the running, and he was playing in Serie B at the time.

In Barcelona's 5-0 win over Real Sociedad last Sunday, Xavi completed the most passes that any player has ever completed in one match since they started keeping records of that. He didn't even play the full 90 minutes either.

He also completed the most passes with the NT in the 2nd round or quarter finals can't remember anymore but they were speaking about it on Jazeera sport after the match.

why? he won the europa league too..and helped atletico a lot. deserved it more than iniesta for sure man...
Iniesta is in top three mostly because for his goal in the Wotld Cup final.Sure, he is more than a great player but I think that Forlan or Sneijder deserved it more this time.
