I'd still love Vucinic here. Rather him than Rossi. I'd rather just save the money we would spend on Rossi and pick up some good buys in January. Maybe a flop here and a flop there isn't that far out of reach for us.

As much as I wanted Aguero, and maybe Sanchez even a Pastore or Fabregas, the fact of the matter is that we are not very attractive this summer, we have the new stadium but thats about it. Starts, especially top starts want the big stage, they want to be on the front of the newspaper, to attract possible commercial dealings and exposure, that big stage is the Champions League. We need to get back to that point, we will have to do it with heart and by scrapping because those big names won't come until we get back to that big stage. Hopefully we have a good enough season to make it and next summer we should have more success attracting the Agueros, Sanchezes and whomever will be available then. :flag1:

Honestly that would be good enough to get us back to the CL I think. Teaming up Rossi with Quags, DP, and Matri up front and our midfield with Pirlo, Krasic, Vidal and Vucinic (if we get him) and adding Lugano to our defense would make us solid in Serie A, especially because we don't have any mid week obligations, we should be fresh and concentrated for every game. Our big issue is beating the smaller teams, if we split with the bigs and beat the bottom feeders on a consistant basis we will be OK. Then next summer with the momentum of a good season and a CL birth we could get better playrs.

Didn't mention Trez cause he was born in France so there may be some additional factors in his story. But Camo's and Rossi's stories are quite similar...

Difference is that they didn't reject anyone. I have no doubt that Camo was gonna choose Argentina if he got a call.
In Trez's case though, he did exactly the opposite of what Rossi did. Trez's father was an Argie but Trez was born in France and played for France.
