Laughable if they were discussing the market in general and Marchisio jumped out saying "Rossi would do great here, bring him over."

He could have waited till he got a call, or not have chosen Italy at all.

IMO Rossi's case and Camo's case is the same. Rossi did what he needed to do in order to play high-level international football. Camo chose to play for Italy because Argentina didn't pick him.

Players don't run around looking for media so they can talk about transfers and etc. The media/fans are always interested in the opinion of players, so they get asked about transfers, tactics and etc. Marchisio probably wasn't walking around trying to find the first mic/camera so he can talk about Rossi or whoever. Media ask and players answer, simple as that.
