oh you're so boring! bianconero81 what the author was trying to get at was not rossi being superior on a individual level, he was looking at it from a tactical and economical view point.

its getting so boring this whole i hate rossi cause 'im american'/'he's an overrated italian yet i've never watched a football match in my life' it is as though some members here have forgotten the kinda shit we have in our attacking line up as it is, namely iaquinta, amauri and to an extent toni
:blah: :blah: :blah: If we can't get Aguero or Tevez, then we might as well not get anyone. We shouldn't be splashing 30 Million on Rossi!

yeah and u know what will happen come january? you will bitch and whine about how we didn't add quality to our attacking front and start cursing marotta, blaming his eyes, then go on to blame sucko etc... just like you have done for the majority of the 2nd part of last season

We have been shit for 2 seasons now. Do you just expect me to sit here and be all happy? Rossi is not the solution to our problems. He is a complementary piece, not the jewel in the crown!

Here are our options:

1. Get Aguero
2. Get Benzema or Higuain if Aguero signs for Real Madrid
3. Sign Rossi for 30 M.
4. Sign Vucinic for around 15 M

Personally, I'd rather we do not spend 30 M on Rossi and use that money to strengthen our midfield/defense.

Quag starting is a better idea than spending 30 M on Rossi. 15 M on Vucinic is a better investment than 30 M on Rossi too(not that Vucinic is better).

and what if aguero signs for someone else other than madrid and Juve, namely a epl side, then what? we won't get benzema or higuain, so we're fucked in terms of adding quality upfront.

Spending a maximum of 15 M on Vucinic would be acceptable in that case. Matri,Quag and Vucinic could certainly do the job if we also strengthen our midfield/defense.

Then we just don't get anyone. Plain and simple. We can't keep going with Plan B every time we fail with Plan A. That is not how a top club operates.
so then that leads me back to my first question, who would be the jewel in the crown? or are you just going to continue cursing marotta's inabilities as a gm?

edit "I'll go offline cause i simply can't reply to BD's question, but ill continue to blame marotta, pretending to care cause that is the easy way"

I reckon just we just settle with vucinic and rossi, for any of u who think rossi is a dud, look at some of his videos on u tube... (watching these videos changed my mind, i like him)
:lol2:

Go look at some videos of Amauri on youtube.

Maybe after doing that you'll decide Juve should just keep him and not sign another striker.

Rossi and Vucinic are not world class. However, I'd take Vucinic for 15 M instead of buying Rossi for 30-35 M because the former would be more effective on a 4-3-3 and would cost only half as much as the latter.

And I am not a big fan of Vucinic.

Let's be honest, Rossi is not worth more than 18-20 M.

And stop kidding yourselves, Rossi is not even close to Aguero. If his name was Giuseppovic Rossic, we would not even talk about signing him as a "star player".

I don't know. It's not my job. I didn't go offline because I was avoiding the question. I actually had/have stuff to do

Marrotta's job is to appease the fans, and build a winning team. If I knew what needed to be done, I would have his job instead. Having said that, he is not exempt from criticism. He failed miserably in last season's mercato, so he better deliver on his promise of "champions" this time around, or simply shut the fuck up and get the fuck out!

Juventus is no training ground for a wannabe Sporting Director.
