Arsenal's offer for Cazorla has put Villarreal president in a bad position, but there is something new. Rossi's agent has stated that Rossi wants to leave for Juve. From monday, we will continue the negotiations. There is also a different road, Rossi may arrive at Juve after Villarreal play their Champions League qualifier.

I have a question for those who follow La Liga:

Can you guys/girl(s) compare Rossi, Valencia's Soldado and Sevilla's Negredo? What are the qualities of each three, how would you rate them all, how much do you think they'd cost and why is Juve after Rossi but not after Negredo or Soldado?

I haven't seen a lot of Negrado and the few times I saw him I was never impressed. Soldado on the other hand is an okay striker in my book and has proved himself in some big matches.

I haven't watched the second half of last season due to events in Libya and what not, so i might not do Rossi much justice as last season was his best season. But i've watched enough of La Liga before i think to form judgment on what type of players these 3 are.

IMO you can't really compare Rossi to the other two, the other two are main strikers while Rossi is the more creative, more of a second striker. Soldado actually plays as a lone striker for Valencia. If you ask me, Negredo has been the best among those 3 in the past few years. He's the best finisher too, and has more technique than people credit him for. Rossi would be a second for me, though i don't think he scores as much as Soldado, but he makes up for that with his build up play. Negredo is the most complete one of them imo, he's good in the air, he's a very good finisher, his movement off the ball is good as well.

IMO its like this Negredo > Rossi > Soldado

Thats probably because Negredo chokes bad against Barcelona and Real :D Especially against the latter.

He's normally a very good striker though

Thanks. I actually know all three because I followed La Liga as much as I watched serie A last year. I just want to see how the others rate them.

I think that's the case :agree:

However I trust your judgment more since you've seen him more in action than me(against average teams too). The only times I saw him is when he played the big guns.

My rating would be like this (despite all their differences)

Negredo=Rossi=Soldado

Price-wise, Rossi should be some 2-3 millions more expensive because he's a year and a half younger.
In any case, all three would be useful additions to a team, but none of them has it to be a star in a team Juve are aiming to become, don't you think? I think that most here would be disappointed if Juve want to splash 25m euro on Negredo or Soldado and present them as the star signings so it's strange that many don't react the same way when it's about Rossi. Especially the Juve fans in Italy (the majority) seem very deluded and they push for Rossi to be the main star of this mercato.
