You said it Alen, Italians rate Rossi, Italian coaches too, from Lippi to Capello and Cesare Prandelli. They have all praised him.
Except Moggi :D

Moggi and I share the same opinion in this case: "Giuseppe Rossi will be a good addition to the squad, but it seems to me that he won't be the right man for Juve to make the definite jump in quality. Good player, but the phenomenons are different kind of players. ".

Indeed, Rossi will be a good addition to Juve and he is a good player but is he the player who'll lead the team? In tough moments I'll still prefer Pirlo and Del Piero to Rossi. If we're investing big in a SS then it must be a player who'll take things in his own hands when it's tough instead of having to bench him and let Del Piero do the hard job again.
Either we buy top quality or keep Quag and Del Piero for SS. The same has been said many times, now I say it again and we'll keep saying it because Rossi's purchase for so much money makes no sense.

My rating would be like this (despite all their differences)

Negredo=Rossi=Soldado

Price-wise, Rossi should be some 2-3 millions more expensive because he's a year and a half younger.
In any case, all three would be useful additions to a team, but none of them has it to be a star in a team Juve are aiming to become, don't you think? I think that most here would be disappointed if Juve want to splash 25m euro on Negredo or Soldado and present them as the star signings so it's strange that many don't react the same way when it's about Rossi. Especially the Juve fans in Italy (the majority) seem very deluded and they push for Rossi to be the main star of this mercato.
You think Rossi is as good as Negredo? May i ask why?

Anyway, ya i agree that price wise they should be quite close and i can imagine people here would go berserk if there were reports of Juve bringing in Negredo as the "star player" the board promised, even though imo Negredo has proven over the years he's better than Rossi, at best you can say they're equal though you can never say Rossi is better.

But even Negredo isn't the "star player" Juve are looking for. Even though imo he is better than the strikers Juve have right now.

I seriously think there is some bias for Rossi because he's Italian, i mean people in this forum and the Italian coaches you talk about.

Didn't he say the same about Aguero though? :D.
Yes he did, although his main problem with Kun were the reported 45m euro which according to Moggi is a "stratospheric price for a player who won't transform the team".

You think Rossi is as good as Negredo? May i ask why?
That's kinda hard to answer. Like trying to answer why do I think Quagliarella was as good as Matri last year, even though they aren't really the same type of players. It's probably about what both offer to the team which in the end equals to more or less the same.

do you mean selling Cazorla to Arsenal ? Because we're not linked to him. Arsenal are. However they won't sell him and Rossi in the same window.
Ya, i'm an Arsenal fan not a Juve fan.

Makes sense.

Mirko Vucinic has reportedly leapfrogged Giuseppe Rossi to become the top Juventus transfer target.
The Bianconeri have made it clear they want to bring in a new striker over the summer and, after Sergio Aguero became too expensive, they whittled the list down to two.

Rossi had been the favourite, but Tuttosport claim today that talks with Villarreal have hit problems over the €30m price-tag.

Vucinic would cost €10m less than Italian international Rossi, as he has already declared he wants to leave Roma.

However, the Giallorossi are eager to sell the Montenegrin overseas rather than reinforce a direct Serie A competitor.

It is Vucinic’s tactical versatility that has convinced Coach Antonio Conte, as he can play the support striker role or on the left side of midfield in that 4-2-4 system.

I know it's just a rumor, but i'm about to pop.
