So, what's the plan then? Sign good, ok and middle of the park players hoping to somehow get to the CL and THEN pounce for wc players? Sounds like a plan.

We don't have CL? Well, that means you have to spend more and present an actual project on how you are getting back to the best. If we lack leverage we have to make it up in capital, that's what City has been doing all along.

Rossi is a very good player, the kind an already made excellent team gets to round out the squad and give them more options.

The problem is Rossi is not a star and that's what's annoying all of us, you don't get that do you? Instead Marotta is more concerned with getting players "on our terms".
we dont have the money man! we have 70 million to fortify every part of our team. Next year when we qualify for CL we could have 140!

once again opinion.

for me

Rossi, Bastos, Vidal lich and zieg plus a few others that are coming will
thats also an opinion ;)

i would be disappointed with this mercato... after finishing 7th two times in a row i expected much more.
the only position sofar that is an upgrade is lichtsteiner and you could still argue how big this upgrade is (ok not compared to motta but for a cl spot contender)
ziegler is for me not much of an upgrade and i don't know why some think he is... he is at best mediocre...
so in midfield we change melo with vidal and aqua with pirlo... that would be an upgrade but just thanks to pirlo if he gets injured we are screwed. the only positive thing would be a new left winger.... rossi maybe better than quag but he is not much of an upgrade... we would still lack creativity all over the pitch and concede goals like crazy

srsly i love your optimism but that team will hardly compete for a cl spot. i'd rather sign hummels and cissokho than rossi. but than again thas also an opinion ;)
this team did not finish 7th 2 times in a row for no reason and that in a very weak serie a! to be honest this juve team sucks pretty much! from management to coach to players.
i for myself accepted the fact that we are no longer the great juve... and i don't see us get back in the next years. what we need is a wc coach and a SD capable off signing great players or knows how to sign young talented players. we lack both.... and with such a limited squad i don't expect us to finish above 4-5th spot

Basically.

In Marotta's mind he's going to dazzle us with his GM wizardry and make the top three with free transfers of mediocre and washed-up players combined with wasting the money we do have on players that won't actually raise the playing level significantly.

Meanwhile, we're falling further and further behind the curve.

Rossi, contrary to reports, played tonight and scored.

Took his goal well, but didn't threaten much and wasn't that involved in play.

Spent more time moaning to the ref about Aberdeen players tackling him (fairly) than doing anything useful.

Yeah, make a banner with Rossi on it and the US flag in the background.
Write "From the land of the free to the home of the not so brave" and add some pictures of Italian soldiers surrendering or running away from a battlefield.

smh. You forgot one thing though my fellow "fan". We're Juve and we'll always be Juve, expect changes all over the team each time we finish below 1st, It'll get more and more personal to the owners if our barren trophy run continues further. Everyone in the management is filthy rich, they don't do this for the money like other clubs, they do it for the name, they want Juve to succeed and be Juve, it's true we fucked up two years in a row, but hey! look at Liverpool, they'll always be a big club and their fans are loyal as fuck despite not winning the domestic league in 20 or so years !.. 4th and 5th? fuck that, we beat ALL the big teams last year with our dodgy squad and retarded 442 coach ! We can do it !!!!!! we came really close a few times, a lil consistency and faith will go along way.

Believe !

If you wanna blame someone blame the people responsible for the transfers lol We have the money, the problem is, we piss it away really easily.
