I doubt Ivanovic would add that much to the team. Ribery is a big big risk, as he's proven he's made of glass, he's getting injuries every year since he was 22. Nani would be an amazing purchase, but i don't see United selling their best offensive player last season.
I think they could part with Nani, They are ready to include him in a bid for sneijder.

Go and check the pulse for players like Ivanovic, Ribery, Nani. All the Juve fans will accept those as champions and you will keep your promise. Ribery instead of Pepe will do much more good than Rossi instead of Quag, no matter which one between Ribery and Rossi is the better player.
Save the speech :agree:

It's too easy Marotta, come on, do the right thing. Even Kun wasn't desperately needed but if you can't bring Kun then please stop chasing an attacker. We know you promised a champion but you can deliver a champion for the midfield, it doesn't have to be an attacker.

And that's just the thing. Why spend >40m on a player that's not needed, let alone desperately needed?

I think they might reluctantly include him in a deal for Sneider as they need a central midfielder badly. They can afford to lose a winger of Nani's stature for a player like Sneider. I strongly doubt they'd just sell him if they didnt have to though.

While there are other positions that need strenghtening more than the striker position. Why pass up the opportunity to buy a player that would significantly improve a not so good strikeforce anyway. At least you're making a position strong that way.

Buying someone for > 40m € isn't exactly an "opportunity" for me. You can pretty much do that every single season, if you have that much money.
And yeah, Aguero would improve our attack, as would Rossi. But why improving what's already decent in the first place, while spending as little as possible on other, more important areas?

The more I read this thread, the more I feel that people are massively overrating Aguero. Hell, this thread would make you think he's Messi & Ronaldo combined. Only better.
Personally, I really don't think he would be the difference between ending 7th or 3rd, as I have seen claims.

If we miss on Aguero, we should focus on getting a great LB ( Cissokho) go get someone like Mata and a good CB ( Ivanovic, Hummels ), no need to bring Rossi just for the sake of it, he won't improve us by much.

Not only Grossi won't improve us by much, he would ask for a starting place and cause problems in the locker room. It feels like that anyway, coming in as a the biggest transfer in years, the promised prodigy and so on...

If we forget about Rossi and get someone for example like Ribery

Our formation would look better, much much better

Buffon

Lich - Bonucci - Chiellini - Zieg

Krasic - Melo - Pirlo/Marchi - Ribery

Matri - Quag/Del Piero

Your post is implying that he will improve us by some margin of debatable size - so why shouldn't he ask for a starting place if he performs better than what we have going on at the moment?

I should've figured That Marotta doesn't know what is WC .

But when you look at this formation you can not deny the fact that however we need a SS. I would not rely too much on DP and Quag. Especially having in mind our injury records the last couple of seasons. Quag's injury fucked up our last season.
