I wonder......

If Del Piero spends the next year injured and scores only 1 goal, would those of you who want Trez out want us to give Villareal 15m eur+Del Piero for Rossi?

Trez is now 31 (close to 32), Del Piero will be 35 next year (close to 36).

Suns? Osman? Juve Rev?

At the risk of taking a whole lot of heat, I would do the deal even if Del Piero scored 15 goals next year.

I'm not about to apologize for my belief that no one individual player is above the club.

Fact of the matter is they are going to have to move on from Alex sooner or later.

If Trez stays great,if Rossi comes great it is a win win situation. There is no doubting that Trez is in the top 5 natural goalscorers in the game at the moment and there hard to come by these days.
like what u said...

Well, that's your opinion, and you're certainly entitled to it, but you don't honestly think I'm going to take a threat by you over the internet seriously, do you??

Most of you seem to forget that we only paid Werder Bremen 15 million euros (1st Installment) and we still have 2 installments to pay. According to some of you guys we have a budget of around 35 million euros, so that would leaves us with 20 million euros or so to spend.

Sell Trez if and only if he wants to leave... Else make a pre contract agreement with Rossi for next year (if we really are interested in him) and let Trez stay and hope he stays fit... We need all of our strikers firing in goals next season... The last time I commented on Trez, I said that he should be willing to accept a bench role if need be, and fight for a place in the starting eleven... Now I think about it, he needn't... We have four strikers, out of which one will accept a bench role without fussing about it... That leaves us with three strikers out of which one has to be on the bench... Most weeks we will be playing two games a week with CL and Coppa and the league... So all three can have more or less equal playing time with occassional chances for Iaquinta... All this assuming that we play with two strikers upfront...

Good question, it doesn't really indicate whether that's the demand or the offer, it just says that the talks with Villarreal are confirmed (it = Sky)
