I don't think Marotta was actively looking to replace Vidal at all.He brought Khedira in and felt Sturaro and the likes of Pereyra would show the potential and grow as players.
Pretty much the same line of thought in regards to Dybala replacing Tevez.
AM signing was the one signing he bottled as its central to Allegri's plans.
The fact that he bought in good talent for most part with Sandro and Dybala as his major signings proving to be a major success makes it a very good mercato.

Still Allegri has adapted remarkably well with major changes and not having that one signing which he would've probably built the team around I.e AM.
I hope he has some leverage now that he's built a solid foundation and gets the player(s) he asks for.

:agree:

Spot on. People are calling it a "disastrous" mercato because we got bundled out (extremely unluckily) by the 2nd best club team in the world. Do people forget the luck we had last year in drawing a mediocre Dortmund at the end of their cycle with Klopp? And then Monaco in the QF? We had luck last season that we didn't have this year. We had a much tougher group stage to navigate this season as well. Anyway, we are on track for another double, so it'll be another very successful season.

What I want from Marotta and Paratici this off-season, is for them to FINALLY address this CAM issue and give Allegri another CM like Gundogan to beef up our midfield. It's the final push we need IMO, for us to finally make steps towards winning this CL.

Marotta: 'Conte can't keep Cuadrado'
By Football Italia staff

Beppe Marotta is “proud” Antonio Conte will join Chelsea, but assures Juventus could still keep Juan Cuadrado and has no Kingsley Coman regrets.

The director general spoke to Mediaset Premium ahead of this afternoon’s Derby della Mole. Follow the action as it happens on our LIVEBLOG.

“We had the strength to shelve Wednesday’s defeat and focus on today. Torino have a healthy sense of sporting revenge, while we have the determination to get the full points.

“We have not talked to Max Allegri about a contract, as currently that is on the back-burner. It is an easy issue to resolve, so there won’t be any problems.

“Evaluation of his work is not just on results, but based on faith too.”

It is widely reported that ex-Juventus Coach Conte will be taking over at Chelsea next season, once his Italy experience has expired after Euro 2016, and Marotta confirmed as much.

“The fact Antonio Conte is going to Chelsea just confirms that we made a good choice when we took him from Siena. I am proud of this and for him.

“Cuadrado? I don’t think Conte will influence our decision. We could keep him here.”

Coman was decisive for Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, so was it a mistake to let him go on a two-year loan with €28m option to buy?

“It was Coman who asked to leave. When there is no ambition at a club, it’s only right to respect the desires of the player.

“We should also underline that we got him as a free agent, so if Bayern do activate their clause, we will be making a profit of €28m.”

He is suggesting when a player wants to leave a club they won't have any ambition to do great at said club. He's right too.

However, Coman originally didn't want to leave. He was given a choice , Sassulo or Bayern he chose Bayern.
he want to leave. coman himself admit that. want to plah mlre.
how bayern can give coman more room ( not only for coman ) to grow is something we need to learn

Because Bundesliga is not competitive for them. And his style of play fits better on that team under those circumstances.

1) They are ten levels above everyone else. They sometimes get tested in less than a handful of matches per year. They can thus afford having a youngster as a luxury starting for them because the team will dominate opposition easily anyway. The gap in quality between Bayern and others allows them to win by 3 goals and more consistently. They score tons of goals and so that allows young player to work on their stats, gain confidence and operate in a pressure free environment. We don't have that luxury because we grind out tight results a lot and this season we had serious catching up to do and so fielded our best players as much as possible.

2) They play with 2 wingers while we do not use any. They didn't have to change formations to suit him in anyway. We would have had to change formations if we were going to accommodate him. Even if we did, we wouldn't have a winger for the other side and we wouldnt have had any substitutes for both wingers. It doesn't make sense switching formations for one player (unless he is messi or something) and even if you do, you need to have squad players that suit that formation.

3) He was lucky that Robben and Ribery are very injury prone. He is not in Bayern's starting 11 but he plays very often because he gets subbed in and because Robben misses a lot of matches.

4) Guardiola is a type of coach that is good at relying on youngsters and teaching them passing and possession football. Bernat and Kimmich are 2 other players who get plenty of game time even when the others are fit.

They give young players room not only now, they already did it before.
Alaba, muller, schwensteiger, kross, etc.

And i still remember allegri chose pepe or matri instead of coman.
