Beppe Marotta Is My God

With all those changes that were made, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that this club dropped 7 points in its first three matches at home against the powerhouses known as Udinese, Chievo, and Frosinone :howler:

Even with the injuries, and the new players that came on board, you don't drop points, at home, AGAINST THOSE THREE CLUBS. If this team had done its job in the beginning of the season, they would be 2 points off the top of the table.

Who to blame? Fuck it. I blame everyone. Management, coaches, players. I can understand the losses at Napoli and Roma. I get it. Those are two really good teams playing on their home turf. A tough task regardless. I don't even know what to make of that Sassuolo clusterfuck. Team is too good, and too talented to be where they are right now.

But Marotta did too much too soon this summer, Allegri has been too indecisive and inconsistent in his tactics, and the players (some of them ) have been too comfortable in their current lot in life.
Very well articulated, Serge  That's exactly how I feel about it all too. The blame definitely should be equally apportioned. The club as a whole needs to stand up and be counted in these times.

This, this and this. Also Allegri has been too complacent as well, he needs to light a fire under the player's asses which he hasn't.

From gameplay POV, its still better then Conte's 352. But Conte's 3-5-2 thankfully had more clinical finishing, and in serie a, alot less points dropped due to incredible individual errors.

I'd distribute the blame like this: 20% on marotta (got us a weaker team yet it's competitive enough to win serie a or at least make a CL spot), 70% on Max rape-face Allegri and 10% bad luck and invidual errors on the pitch.

Marotta and max are responsible for this mess... You can't use guys like padoin, hernanes, sturaro, lemina and zaza and expect to be any better. Specially when you see 3 or 4 of them in the field at the same time

I'm glad we have the best general manager in the history of the game here. It's simply a joy watching this guy operate on the market.

Most overrated GM in history.

They would do fine. After all, we only buy players who want to join us, they'll do just as good a job as that other guy.
I don't know why we ever pay for any of the players we get... We should be able to convince them all to just run their contracts down and join for free, since they want to join us anyways...

We should fire Beppe for spending millions on players who already want to join us.

There is some truth in what Andy says above PI. Beppe tends to put a lot on player will, and he maybe right when he says they run the market in many ways, but it is somewhat true, we mostly end up with the players that want us rather than the ones who we want (the type who are harder to get from an image/ambition perspective.) And perhaps the type who need a little more bank.
