So full of excuses for the horror show this season.
So full of hateful comments after 3 months into the season, already condemning every one and everything. What the fuck happened to you? Chill for a while and see how this pans out. Remember last season? :p

Not on paper. Not even close.
Ofc we did.

Our midfield and defense were a level above. Or do you think Max's ingenuity and tactical aptness were the reasons for beating them? You know, the guy you've been shitting on for a while now.

I know many of you want us to play Dybala and Cuadrado with Morata but imo it's just an idea on paper.
Practically its heavily imbalanced due to the playing styles of the players and will restrict their potential too in the process.
Allegri should not be blamed for not playing these three regularly.
It's a mess created by Marotta.
First for not getting a quality AM which is forcing Allegri to play a different formation with some players in makeshift roles.I would believe this is the root problem for us not able to score enough goals.
Second, for making some seriously unnecessary signings(you know who).Without creativity, our attack looks pure fodder.Again I believe the main problem for our struggle.
Allegri is a limited coach and when you don't sign players that cater to his needs, he gets exposed.I believe that's what has happened so far.A collective failure all in all.
Like someone said all the good work of the past 4 seasons rekt in one yr and if we don't recover fast enough, our progress will be slower than expected, you know, those who were claiming we're elite or 4th best club in Europe, it's looking like a dream right now.

Team, yes. On paper we're not even close. This year we're not even a team. We look more like a random group assembled 1 hour before an 11-a-side match.
There were some good signs in the last few games.

Player by player (those that started the games last year), we had better group of individuals and better team, but the fact that we don't/can't pay 100m for players that are highly marketable, eventough they have rather dubious quality is another thing and clouds judgment of fans worldwide.

What signs?

I thought you said we have a more complete squad this season last Summer. Must be my poor memory then. Do results cloud your judgement at least?

Woaaah, don't recall ever saying that.

This team has potential to be stronger in the long term, but currently there's no debate as to which team is/was more complete.

 to the last bit. Of course he would say that. Only a nutter would say our squad on paper was better. On match day, sure. We had more of a team. But certainly not looked at player by player.

Wasn't one of our best matches this year against Sevilla with Cuadrado, Morata and Dybala on the pitch... Although we did play 3-5-2 . That abhorrent formation. So Cuadrado was a RWB.

We could play a 4-3-1-2 with Pogba advanced into the CAM position. It might work well.

Another decent option would be 4-4-2 with Sandro and and Cuadrado as wide midfielders on either side of Pogba and Marchisio.

Or even using Cuadrado as the SS rotation option with Dybala. A 4-3-1-2 with Morata/Mandzu-Dybala/Caudrado, with Pereyra/Pogba as CAM would be pretty cool.

How? Do you think Khedira can reach Vidal's level? Or Lemina? Sturaro? Dybala is still too far to be as fundamental as Tevez was for us. Long, long way to go for him. Don't get me started on Zaza. Pogba and Morata are gone next Summer. We seem to focus on the long term and in process we're losing our best players.

When we played Sevilla it looked like Morata and Cuadrado were occupying the flanks and Dybala playing central.
Morata was playing a Cristiano-ish role.
After watching many games, I too feel now that Morata should play a central role rather than outwide.4-3-1-2 suits him best as it does for Dybala but Cuadrado should be excluded from the equation imo.I think he's at his best when marauding up and down the flanks.Proper 4-3-3 winger.
Its funny that Cuadrado who was hardly considered an important signing(more for rotation and injury purposes) is now a important part of our plans.Sums up our mercato this summer.

Khedira (when fit?!) is an improvement to last year's Vidal. Sandro is potentially world class left back and will eventualy displace Evra, there's Rugani as well. Dybala will become fundamental player in the future. Can't really tell if he's gonna reach Tevez' heights, yet.

We don't know for certain which player stays or goes. The last summer taught us this. I think Morata is returning to Real come the end of year, but there's Berardi. I'll avoid further guess work for now.

We don't know if Berardi will actually be at Juventus next yr either.I have big doubts actually.

You say many things that you don't recall afterwards only to fit your agenda. I can dig up your posts saying that our team this year is stronger than last year's when most of us were bitching during the summer disaster.

Long term

I can dig up your posts of moaning because of last summer's mercato (2014), but I'm not gonna do that. You should be exactly the last person digging up someone's posts.

You gotta be kidding me on Khedira. The "when fit" part is also so ironic after hearing your excuses after we sold Vidal though. It's incredible how you manage to do this time after time.

Except that we earned 40m on Vidal. Khedira was free

It was a Paratici move after we played Marseille in preseason and after Khedira and Marchisio were seemingly out of action for a couple of months.
We didn't sign a player based on one good game against us. It may have emphasised his qualities to us but he was on the radar. There was a post (Paratici thread?) which showed the infrastructure we have with identifying players, it is a process starting from the regional scout to chief scout and then they decide with Paratici and he goes to Marotta. Teams with our scouting network watch thousands of players. Lemina for one played alongside our own Paul Pogba when France won the U20 World Cup, a tournament which every half decent scout from here to Timbuktu is following.

Khedira in no shape or form is better than Vidal

Imagine if someone had stated Khedira being better/or even on par with Vidal (if he was still at Juventus). That person would've been bashed by most of the forum.

Master move. In hindsight it's also great how Vidal looks like a pile of shit at Bayern and Khedira looks like a fit Usain Bolt on the field.
Unfortunately mgt can't use this when making some deal.

We'll see by the end of season and evaluate their performances for their respective teams.
