Based on? He's a right footed centre back known for having a strong shot and being a half decent free-kick taker...with his right foot. He might be naturally powerful off either foot, but that means nothing for accuracy.

Indeed, for some reason I confused him preferring left foot due to thinking about Domizzi instead.

Ask yourself why he is doing badly? Imo big portion of it is Garcia keeps buying box strikers and playing them as false 9s who spend most time outside the box, building up plays.
That's definitely a part of it. But Dzeko was terrible last year at ManCity too. Worse than Llorente for us last year. He scored 7 goals in 31 matches.

I'd have laughed too two seasons ago. But if you're making a comparison between this season and the last, its not so laughable. Vidal really stunk it up for most of last season. When he wasn't injured that is. Khedira isn't half the player Vidal was.
Anyhow his injury proneness is the biggest problem but weren't as foreseeable as most think. When/if he's fit he's a very good player and a lot of people have forgotten that, not because he's played badly but because he hasn't played.
which makes him more than a slight downgrade to even padoin

He just bought random players without consulting the coach on which players in what positions were needed.

There really isn't a set formation that the team can play 3-5-2 is all we have unless Pereyra starts and we play a 4-3-1-2 which would be our best chance of getting some consistency.

As much as I like to blame Allegri for his idiocy, we're three months into the season and after all the waiting and watching appalling displays over and over again, we can conclude that Marotta has failed to reinforce the midfield adequately after departures of high profile players. He has also imbalanced our offensive frontline. His mercato is a big part of the mediocrity we're seeing now.
The rejuvenation job for a good part is looking poor.
The unfortunate part is we're not a €500m revenue team so we can't go there and buy the best to fix this mess.
Our transfer strategy will remain the same.Hence we also need a stronger coach imo.I just don't see Allegri being the man for long term or someone who can adapt to the available resources of the team.
