Why don't you play hax with us anymore?
Because Witcher 3.

He is in deflect the shitstorm from you mode, in a board meeting, so borderline embarrassing comments or excuses is to be expected.
Don't agree. If he fears for his job, there are other ways for him to make his statements internally, directly to AA himself. If he's of the opinion he had a great mercato, then by all means go straight to Agnelli and explain why. Beppe has a great track record of making stellar signings for the club going on 4 years now, so I'm sure AA would put a lot of emphasis on what Beppe had to say.

No need to bash a Juve player in public, and no need to comment on another club's finances/financial dealings.

Indeed, I have the same problem with it, but you hold him to a higher standard then I do I'm guessing.

I see similar shit like this happen at my work actually, publicially try to distance themselves from failure instead of just explain 1on1 to immediate boss.

Made a big mistake with Zaza + Hernanes. Should have used that money for a better SS or CAM.

Any player that operates in the same areas as Tevez did really. I'm not against the Mandzukic signing as he has been a very good player his whole career and fits our identity. It was a reasonable price for a proven performer who can rotate well. But with him and Morata, what do you need Zaza for?

In fact, most of his other signings were great. Sandro, Khedira, Lemina, Rugani, Cuadrado and Dybala are all great.

In the interview he says that he knew Tevez was going to move since January. Ok, I guess Dybala was meant to be the straight away replacement for Tevez. It makes sense but Dybala is not playing lol. And he's still not good enough to replace Tevez from day 1.

So if last year we relied on Morata-Tevez-Vidal as the trio up front, and you replace Tevez with Dybala, which is a downgrade, then you have to upgrade your CAM from Vidal to someone better (as a CAM).

Instead we downgraded SS and CAM. The answer was simple. Morata-Dybala-Top CAM. That is your new trio. Was our only option Draxler? Was Vidal's wish to leave so last minute that we were caught off guard? But Vidal is not even a CAM anyways. We should have been looking for a new CAM regardless.

I mean, he made mostly good moves but made one critical error.

Heartening to see Marotta supporters actually acknowledging the fact that we made some terrible errors this summer. Finally some sense of rationality rather than the usual clownery from dp, zizinho and the likes.

And I absolutely agree most of his signings if you ignore the team's critical requirements, are good. Some good signings are made to rejuvenate the squad but priorities have been messed up and poorly planned and Allegri is only worsening the situation by taking idiotic decisions.
I still lay a substantial amount of blame on Allegri for this poor start.

How was Hernanes sale a financial loss for Inter ?

We paid 11 mil for a 30 year old guy and we "yet" to gain anything from him, the guy hardly starts anymore !
because they paid 18M for him a year before

lol youre the one to talk. you were changing your opinions about 50 times this summer alone from defending to attacking Marotta, Allegri and from defending to attacking every signing and every departure we made.

also, how cute that people already know what signings were failures and its still only October

Well it's a bit silly to pretend that applauding Marotta was irrational when he was a huge part in taking us from 7th place to almost winning the treble and 4 straight scudetti. The results speak for themselves.

The problem is that the critical error is in that one area where this team couldn't really afford a critical error. We're so desperately lacking in creativity in attack without that CAM signing.

Cuadrado had it at Fiorentina... for some reason he's lost his finishing touch, whether that be passing or shooting. And Dybala just isn't playing enough, nor is he mature and developed enough to place the entire weight of it on his shoulders. We really needed a top signing there. Instead we bought triple cover for the CF position and now Allegri is misusing Morata as an SS.

"....Marotta was also asked whether there was any synergy with Sassuolo, who are often linked to Juventus in the transfer market.

“They're not our second team. They're ahead of us in the standings, and they deserve to be.

“They're really developing their talents and they're undergoing some interesting operations with us, such as that of [Simone] Zaza, whom we purchased for an appropriate price.

“Starting from the next day we began receiving offers at a higher price, but we believe in the player.

“I'm also thinking of the purchase of the first half of [Domenico] Berardi and the re-purchasing of the same by the Emiliani, who can negotiate him with anyone.

Didn't like these two comments. Very unprofessional, bordering embarrassing.

What he says is obviously true, but you have to weigh your words more carefully when you're the GM of Juventus.
Embarassing, thank you for describing his actions this summer.
