Beppe days are numbered. He should go and help Parma back to Serie A with his average signings and with loan and option to buy garbage.

We made huge amount of money last year and this was the year to buy at least 3 proven world class players. We also should have kept Vidal and Tevez for at least one more year whatever it took.

Well Marotta didn't get 2M for Llorente so the 28M for Coman means nothing. He doesn't know how to sell. Personally I didn't want to sell Coman but to get 28M for him surely should be a point against the "doesn't know how to sell" crowd but it will never be acknowledged.
 good luck getting them to admit that. And if they do it'd be through gritted (forum) teeth. And then the next day it'll be back to insulting him and shitting on every single move we do or don't do.

The same people who want Beppe's head on a pike were the same ones last season saying that we should loan him out to Sassuolo or Bologna or whatever. Saying he isn't ready, not good enough, nowhere near the same impact Pogba had etc.

Now potentially selling him for €28m is a terrible idea. Does my $#@!ing head in.
I am advocating this idea of loaning him to minnow club. But without the negative connotation of "not good enough" etc. Rather with positive idea of properly developing a young player.

Now if Coman plays a Dybala kind of season in Germany we end up underpaid. If he fails and returns I'm sure the trust between both parties will be gone and we'll look for some cheap buyer

Beppes days are not and should not be numbered, but anybody who disagrees that our mercato has been confused and has lacked structure and direction for largely the entire latter half is only kidding themselves.

That's the risk. Anyway, I do obviously hope they have an obligation to buy him. Because even if he plays very well for them, it's still a €28m profit for a player we signed for free who didn't do much at all here.

It was weird as fuck, it still confuses me but some here make it sound like we have done terribly which is not true.

Hopefully we get Draxler and end the mercato before something else happens.

Everything went to shit with the Vidal sale. But we'll see what materializes next.

Exactly. :agree:

It's been a chaotic and confused mercato in which we have basically ignored 1 of our biggest needs in signing a CAM (the other was a replacement for Tevez and we did quite well with Draxler there). We've done some head-scratchers like Zaza, Llorente on a free, Vidal for about 5-10 mil too cheap, and so on, Cuadrado on loan, even though he's a rather unnecessary player when focus could have been put on finding that CAM.

It's too early to tell how it will all work out, and hopefully we are surprised with one more good signing in that position we need to fill... but at the very least I am little worried by the excessive turnover of players this summer.

What is weird is the lack of will to evaluate Marotta's actions separately by a few.

It's clear as hell that this mercato has been very disorganized and that many decisions are highly questionable, and it's also clear as hell that Marotta did a great job so far at his position, considering that at Juve he also has more room (money) for bad decisions, unlike all other Italian clubs.

The fact he's done great in the general picture so far (5 years) doesn't exclude the fact this mercato has been very messy and there's a big questionmark over this team's chemistry.
