This is not some middling club or newly promoted minnow, Zach. This is also a club who have not spent a large amount this season, and received 30 million for Bacca.

Come on man. Something isn't right here, and you know it
Id gave credit for Marotta for picking up good players, but the man isn't good at negotiating deals. He's simply isn't.

We almost always tend to overpay for the players we buy and tend to get less for the players we want to sell. Very few times that we paid a decent price for someone we bought (Tevez and Vidal being the 2 I can really recall).

If it had been my decision in this club, I'd let Marotta and the coach (whoever that might be) decide who they want to buy or sell, and someone else does our negotiation with these clubs. Because right now we're being slaughtered out there left and right ( I remember distinctively saying that the Turks were toying with us in the Melo deal when they kept loaning him over and over up until his contract ended and they got him for free).

But guess what, people will still find excuses for all these deals just the way Secco was being defended back in the days (some habits never change really).

You got to be objective. You can't pin the blame to sell Melo on Marotta. We overpayed him on transfer fee and paid him huge wages, which Marotta is at no fault at all.

If you gonna pin on Marotta, I can name Jorge Martinez, Motta, Isla,Giovinco and to some extent Elia and Krasic. But not Melo and whoever Secco signed.

but id scratch Motta. he was relatively cheap (3-4M), was loaned out 3-4 times and we lost literally nothing on him.

Couldn't, or wouldn't?

Big difference there, dude.

Look, this just doesn't seem right, no matter how you put it.

I understand getting rid of the salary, but that was a salary that we did not inherit, but we gave him.

But aside from that. He was given to a club that , believe it or not, has more European success than we do in the last 5 years, playing in a league that is arguably stronger than ours, and unquestionably more prestigious.

Well, several teams were interested when he was in his bosman year, but he had allready agreed that contract with us. Wouldnt have happened if it was a small wage.

And just this morning, This funny guy claimed he is not ripping on Marotta

Seriously Klin, schizophrenia much ?

 especially the bolded part, which a lot of people seem to miss while sucking Beppe's $#@!.

Juventus will confirm the signing of Fernando Llorente on Thursday, with the announcement of the free transfer concluding their patient pursuit of Athletic Bilbao's most coveted player.

The 27-year-old has been frozen out of the picture at the Basque club after rejecting a new contract that would have seen his salary rise to €4.8 million a year.

Llorente will earn less at Juventus, €4.5 million per season, but had his heart set on Italy and has now agreed a four-year contract.

The Serie A holders attempted to sign Llorente in the summer but baulked at the €36 million buy-out clause written into the player's contract.

You get your answer here if you didn't selectively forget the reason.

We won't know till he signed won't we. But the fact is we offered him 4.5 million which he agreed to than lower wage what Bilbao was offering not to forget he had to endure a tormenting final year with the fans, coach and President to allow us to pick him up for free. Under that circumstance, Marotta did well, i don't even remember anyone complaining back then about the wages since we picked him up for free, and suddenly people choose to criticize just because we can't sell him. It totally different circumstance then and now.

Wait, I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. I'm not criticizing Beppe for giving him 4.5M wages. Most players leaving on bosman earn huge wages. What I'm disagreeing with are those people who are putting blame on Llorente for not accepting lower wages just because we can't seem to prioritize things. It would be an even bigger "fuck you" to these people if Llorente actually lowered his wages in Seville and we also failed to get a transfer fee for him.

And here is Marotta's number one critic ladies and gentleman. Take that in mind when trying to take him serious.

Marotta is held in high regard by many analists in europe, even EPL, but according to his number one critic only-juve he has been slaughtered in europe

Yes. The man that build a team that won 4 scudetto's, made it to a CL final, on a tight budget and by far the biggest team in italy on that budged, is nothing other then" getting slaughtered in europe"

Mandzukic, Dybala, Alex Sandro, Cuadrado, Rugani. means gettign slaughtered in europe

Seriously.
