Why do you guys feel offended whenever anyone criticize Marotta ? Serious question.

The man isn't perfect, he did some great deals in the past (personally I've apreciated he's deal with leverkusen when we signed Vidal because we've got one of the best Bundesliga players for a decent $, same thing happened with the Tevez deal). But he had some average or even shitty deals in the past (remember the 13 mil we paid for jorge martinez !! Or Elia, giovinco who we sold his half for Parma for a mere 3 mil just to pay 11 mil the next summer to get him back and a couple of years later he's gone. He's the guy who pushed the management at the time to hire Del neri and we all know the rest.

I know that no one is perfect and anyone would've done similar mistakes if they were in his position that's totally understandable. But the bottom line here is that the man is not perfect, he did some great deals and he did some shitty deals in the past so when people here including myself criticize him it should be normal.

Pro- Marotta people right now are saying that 37 mil price tag of Vidal is decent money, but when we paid almost exact sum to dybala just this summer they thought that prices are inflated in the market and its a reasonable fee for the guy !!

Vidal is one the best (if not the best CM) in the game right now, the man has a huge experience playing in Europe and was one best players in the coppa America tournament that just ended while dybala just a youngster who had 1 break through season in a very weak Serie A and the two are priced the same ! How is that even possible ?

Ask any non Juve supporter and he'll tell you that it's one of weirdest transfer that they've seen. ask Fred, the man had been around this forum for a very long time and pretty certain he'll agree with that.

Again this is just a forum where people have different opinions, and people criticizing Marotta have a very reasonable points that they're rising here.

and how do u expect to make money off player marketing when u dont keep them?

so say draxler and pogba are the big hits in marketing, what happens when they ask to leave? do we let money making machines like them go too?

how do you build consistency?

How about instead of those childish fights we don't ALL wait for the transfer window AND the season to be over so we can pass judgment?

Is common sense too much to ask for?
Mate, this is the only moment of the entire season they got a shot at critiquing Beppe.

He's going to proof his brilliance again this season and they lnow it, so they shoot all their load now they got the brief chance

Let me be the first to say that if we sign Draxler and Sequiera, and they succeed, then all the credit goes to Beppe/Paratici, however if they prove otherwise, then I think it would be fair to say that criticism would be equally due. Both scenarios are possible, and the club's work is cut out.

Vidal is one the best (if not the best CM) in the game right now.
Several reasons. Marotta is the striker who scores 5 goals. Abd then gets critique he missed a big chance when it was still 0-0.

Before his succes was undeniable, people would rain criticism on him. We responded. Today, the same people try so hard to find flaws. Quite fankly, its annoying and insulting.

And vidal, was not even the best cm at juventus this season, hello 2014/2015

If it's any consolation, it's possible that Marrotta and Paratici have different opinions on their choice of AM. In fact, I think Paratici is pushing for the Draxler move, and it seems Marotta isn't entirely convinced, which is why he maybe trying to negotiate a loan plus option move. Its equally possible that Marrotta's personal choice is Goetze. So we may know more next week, with our real intentions regards both moves.

Personally, I think Marotta (and Paratici and the rest of the board) have earned our trust over the past few seasons.

So yeah, I find the Vidal deal a bit strange. Would I have sold him for that price? No. But there's a reason Marotta has that job and I don't.

We've won four Scudetti in a row, we won the Coppa last season and lost the Champions League final. That's not all down to Marotta obviously, but he played a big part.

So in the pre-season after being one game away from the treble, I think people should be prepared to give Marotta the benefit of the doubt over this summer's transfer moves.

If we have a terrible season, then we make some crap moves next summer, I'll be more than willing to agree with the haters. But at the moment we don't know how these moves will work out, and we have no reason not to trust that Marotta knows what he's doing.

in the real world, yes. but to answer that, and to answer @swag who says why don't we be patient. it's because we always, always miss out on our targets when the transfers drag out, because other clubs always swoop in.

Aguero 2011
Van Persie and Sanchez 2012
Jovetic 2013
Sanchez 2014

do u see the trend here?

Aguero : agent dragged out negotiations untill manshit stepped in
Van Persie : we kinda had an agreement with player, but then man utd stepped in with a retarded offer and huge contract. player was polite enough to inform marotta about it tho.
Sanchez : wanted barcelona and only barcelona
Jovetic : player wanted to come, fiorentina refused to sell. player didnt press enough to force the move. player rightfully wrecked his career in manshit and i hope he stays there or join inter so kiellini kan rek him further
Sanchez : went to arsenal, who can easely offer 5 times more then we could, so its not even close

You think that if juventus comes, all teams drop their panties and get wet and sign the deal. They dont. When its a prime asset, it doesnt leave nearly as quickly.

ah yes so none of those is marotta's fault? so when u go for a player but aren't prepared to offer wages to entice said player, what happens then?

failure is what happens/
