Did read. Didn't even make me smile any more. Fancied talking to myself for 15 minutes.
Pereyra-noone is not worthy of 15mil considering we got Vidal for 10, if we are not forced to buy him, why not try finding another bargain and try out another talent?
Vidal had a year left on his contract, but you know this anyway. Pereyra is also a fine player easily worth that amount.
Unproven Dybala is not worthy of 40mil, considering Napoli got the universally proven Higuain from Real, for that ammount. Jovetic could have come merely for half of that sum.
We are buying potential, world class potential, quality over quantity. Higuain is a choke artist, and funnily enough he doesn't play for the same salary we will pay Dybala. Napoli have to pay Higuain €28m for a three year contract. Dybala at his Juve salary costs €14.6m over the same period. Now, I know you are no Archimedes when it comes to numbers, but that's about half the cost of Higuain!
Jovetic would be fit for half the games, which is why he is half the price.
Bayern got Mandzukic at his best form and age, from a rival team for merely 13mil, whilst we got him for 20mil at the dawn of his carrier.
Mandzukic is a far more established player now, hur dur his values increases.
20mil that we will never be able to recover
and its not like he is the Tevez-like difference maker that can repay that in titles, singlehanding them himself, he is just an average 12/league goals striker...
His scoring record over most of his career is one in two games no matter which random season you pick to suit. He's not a similar player to Tevez, he's not a SS. I repeat, not a SS. Just so we're clear here he is not a SS. Not a SS, fella. A SS he is not.
We are overpaying again like an EPL team, but hopefully this time is for Juve material starters and not merely subs.
But why are we still overpaying? We have reached the CL final and have won the domestic champion for 4 times in a row, why do we still have to overpay players, so that they will join us?
You answered your own question. Do you want quality or do you want quantity? Quality costs money, you might get lucky with a market opportunity but they are rare for quality. Teams don't want to sell quality. You then overpay for quality.
I am curious to see now if this time will we start making profit from sales and recover some of our loses, like the Isla deal, that saw us investing 18mil on him,
We paid €9.4m + €4.5m for Isla. No matter which calculator you use this adds up to €13.9m.
merely to give him away as a loan with an option to buy with half of what we gave for his acquisition. Or Giovinco, that we valued for 25mil, as we have paid 12mil for 50% of his contract.
We paid €11m for 50% of Giovinco, which was offset by his €1m loan and €3m co-ownership to Parma over two seasons.
And starters too, for example how much can we make now out of Vidal or Pogba, who are now globally reknowed?
We aren't trying to sell Pogba, but it's well know that bids are around €80m. I'd rather Marotta didn't sell Pogba or Vidal than prove a point to an internet troll.
Or even from Tevez if he wishes to remain there and have Boca buy his remaining contract?
Tevez is a special case but you know that and are just being a vampire.
So, is our mercato over? Once again we have opted for subs only/mostly? and quantity over quality?
Yes, €32m + €20m quantity, you got it.
Are we going to ignore our defence once again?
Top defence + Rugani.
