we won one, chocked in one, and got robbed in another against a very strong madrid side, still cant take away what they accomplished, i dont think we will ever see a side that makes it to 3 straight CL finals
The fact that some of the biggest spenders in the game today can't even do that nowadays , is a testament to what the 96-98 Juve achieved.

simply amazing, he too shut me up, the man has a will of steel and i am glad he was strong enough to sustain the attacks of the fans to deliver us a solid team thats playing to win the best club competition.
I know that I have said this before, but you HAVE to have that will to take on this job. You have to be strong, and you have to be calm at the same time. Let's face it. Directors weren't exactly lining up around the block to take this job.

Man U and Barca nearly did it. And Milan were by far the strongest team in 2004 but they chocked in typical Ancelotti style. And I don't see how we got robbed, we just fucked it up against Madrid. Really should have been at least 2/3 + the UEFA Cup in 95.

We played great in England and should have won, but we were crap in Turin. Even at 2-0 up I thought we might go out.

personally i think the 96-98 juventus is the best side we ever had, i mean we are talking about 3 straight CL finals, unheard of stuff, we were amazing
Especially in 97. That is probably in the top 3 luckiest wins in a final together with Man U in 99 and Liverpool in 05.

Dude
---------------Buffon
------Thuram-Montero-Ferrara-Zambrotta
---Camoranesi - Davids-Tacchinardi - Nedved
------------ --Del Piero - Trezeguet

Aside from Tacchinardi,Ferrara i would pick the 2003 players anytime of the day

Buffon (2003) > Buffon (2015)
Thuram> Lichsteiner
Montero> Bonucci
Ferrara = Chiellini
Zambrotta> Evrà

Camoranesi > Pirlo (2015)
Davids > Marchisio
Tacchinardi < Pogba
Nedved > Vidal

Tevez>= Del Piero (2003)
Llorente/Morata < Trezeguet
Carlos is great and everything, but no way. Del Piero was in great form that season.

Btw, we started the final with this ridiculous formation:

Buffon
Thuram-Ferrara-Tudor-Montero
Zambrotta-Tacchinardi-Davids
Camoranesi
Trezeguet-Del Piero

Tudor got injured, Birindelli came on and Montero moved to the middle. Camo was a disaster as AMC and got subbed at HT for Conte I think. Then Davids got injured and for some reason Zalayeta came on instead of Di Vaio.

What about 96?

I do agree though, that 85 is the best Juventus team ever, well, at least in the modern era anyways. Amazing side.

Canadian Tire is notoriously bad for letting its employees take vacation time... Lion will not be allowed to leave his cash register for this trip.

I heard through the grapevine, they won't even let him watch CL final. They booked him for a shift with the other check-out girls.
I haven't seen the 85 side, but wouldn't call football before 1990 "modern era"

Nope. He was coming from a slump.

He was very average to his standards that season. Nedved carried us the whole campaign most of the time, specially in CL. DP´s main contribution was the goal against madrid.
The next 2 seasons with capello he was mostly benched for ibra.

After Calciopoli... he had 2 of his best seasons and was in way better form.

Del Piero was brilliant that season, one of his most prolific years, I can't believe you are cutting his contribution to the Semi's goal against Madrid.

and between 2003 tacchinardi + camoranesi vs vidal + pogba; I'd take the later 24/7

thuram vs litch as RB is pretty much equal, thuram was never be a great offensive fullback

https://youtu.be/N_38lPKniXs?t=55s really? :D

Ofc between the couple Pogba-Vidal i'd them over the duo Camoranesi-Tacchinari but as we are picking individual players....
Btw you leaving Camoranesi and Nedved out is madness. They were soooooo great and are what Juventus is lacking right now! Wingers!

You do realize that if we had them rightnow Nedved would be valued 70m or so and Camoranesi not below 45?!? They're like the best Ribery and Robben or Hazard....

I'll never worry too much when it comes to players... Will this player leave, will that player arrive... As long as we have Beppe Marotta, all will be well.

Is it weird that I'm a bigger fan of his than of some of our players? I mean if there was a Marotta jersey, I'd probably buy it.

Actually, I think I know what my next customised jersey will look like :beppe:
