Yep. It's been indifferent really, nothing to complain about, nothing really standing out in any way (except perhaps Rugani, but that deal can't really be attributed to this window imo). Some solid unsurprising moves, that's it. We never really do anything in January, I think that's for the better as well.

Advanced past the group stages which we didn't do last year but we somehow aren't progressing in the CL.

It wasn't that hard to improve on last year's disaster in the CL, but we almost fucked up. ATM took it easy in the last game, and Olympiakos almost defeated us at home. We limped into the knockouts, it was far from convincing, and you know that as well as I do.

Now, I'd love to be wrong, but I'm waiting for the excuses when we are eliminated by a team battling relegation in the Bundesliga and struggling with injuries.

I'm not criticizing the move for Morata nor the fact that he got injured when he arrived.

I was simply making a point that I acknowledge that the squad was strengthened with depth for domestic competition, but not for Europe. If you believe that by signing Morata made us a formidable contender in Europe then I would have to disagree. We added ounces, not pounds in terms of contention.
