He's been working more than 30 years in this proffession, achieving fantastic results that eventually and fortunately for us brought his holiness here. Last 4 years he's done admirable job in Juve, continuing his stroll on the road of success, building a competitive side, one able to conquer and surpass insurmountable obstacles. Now I must go and pray to this God.

Satisfied with the mercato. In the winter market, it's all about being solid, not making too many drastic changes, like in the summer. I think that's exactly what we've seen, a solid mercato. Super happy with the signing of Sturaro in particular, and Matri is a nice addition in attack that we can rely on. Matri always did well for us, has been doing well for Genoa recently, and Max knows exactly how to use him. Sorting a deal out for Rugani (for next season) was also a great move!

Don't know so much about the youngsters we've brought in, but I trust Paratici and Marotta completely when it comes to young players. Anyone know anything about Tello?

Trolling? 5 times a day a look up towards Turin where God among men exists and pray ferociously, sometimes finishing on the floor unconscious as a result of being completely absorbed in prayers.

On a serious note I agree with Jem. This has been a good mercato and you don't need to change much during the winter if things have been working splendindly, favorable results have been obtained so far, most half year objectives are met and even the biggest cynics cannot find many reasons to be unsatisfied. We are making progress with each passing year, sportwise and financially.

-Rugani for 3.5m over 4 years :)dazed:)
-Stuaro back for the first team (recalled from loan @ no cost)
-Giovinco off the books
-Motta finally off the books
-Matri for 6 months at no cost for backup
-Gabbiadini out for 6.25m (essentially paid for Rugani, Matri & Sturaro's wages:cookie:)
-DC back for depth (probably for the HG spot necessity for CL)

We actually made money this mercato while bringing 3 players for senior team and 1 for summer? :touched:

Well played, Marotta. Well played.

I read somewhere that we paid €1m to take Sturaro back early, not sure how true that is.

Still...with Gabb's sale we still made a profit (technically not really with wages) but for a moment in time we made money with more players coming than going. :D

but to pay Employ only $875k a year for 4 years for the hottest CB prospect in Italy is a checkmate.

I agree that the squad was strengthened for the better but the context was for league not Europe. I'm not looking for big moves in the winter but it's not like we made any progress for strengthening the squad for Europe this past summer either.

Not selling our big stars helped.

Our board says often they look for opportunities. They tried, we got outbid which is normal because we can't spend as heavily as the oil clubs. It happens.

Exactly. It's not like Roma has any chance of winning the league this year. If they do, it'll be our own fault.
