Marotta overpaid for all of his signings last summer. This is very clear.

But the guys brought in showed more talent and potential than I expected.

Morata - overpaid, but he had to do it to lure him away from Madrid. Morata's weakness is clearly his mental fragility. He's too anxious. But he's got WC potential, I like the signing. Is mobile and agile.

Coman - 0 cost, great potential, excellent signing

Pereyra - overpaid in order to expand the payment throughout a lot of years. But I liked what I saw, even though he fiinished the year in bad form. He's quicker and more skilled than I thought. He can even dribble and has a bit of flair. Gotta improve his finishing obviously. But I like his age and his potential. Gives good depth for the mid.

Romulo - disastrous so far, but the blame here is on the medical department. Pubic problems are very hard to deal with, they linger for a lot of time and surgery is very delicate. His value looked good as a good rotation / backup player, but we fucked it up when we signed the guy with an important health problem.

Evra - also very bad. But I wasn't against it when it was done, I also thought he would offer at least decent stability to the position.

So all in all, the 3 big investment on 3 young players who are showing plenty of potential. So I'm OK with Marotta's work last summer.

Just please don't go back to the old Italian instinct and do not sign Sneijder, and do not spend uneeded money on a scrub like Rolando.

tell me one player we could have signed for 14M that is on the same level or better than Pereyra? same with Romulo, we are paying 7M for the guy (if we decide to buy him) he would have done fine as a rotation player if it wasnt for the injury. Marotta cant predict who will get injured for a season and who not. the only somehow bad deal was Morata. not because of the price, but because of the buy back.

If Marotta overpaid for all of his signings then how is Coman that cost 0 dollars overpriced?

Marotta cant get a superb finisher, thats his main disadvantage, there is a lot of competition for those places.
Moratta is the chosen part and Real would get him back just yet!
We will make no such moves before Tevez's contract expires. We will just replace Giovinco with another Italian.

CBs really need to be adressed, thats our greatest weakness, but i am afraid there is little Marotta can do...
I think he had the disadvantage of not having enought money for th efinal push. maybe this upcoming mercato will be different?.
Morata needs more minutes...if we lose him for 35 mils then so be it we cant do shid about it.... but at this rate, we will never sell him back to real, and he is not showing any signs of being rotated properly by Allegri overusing Llorente.

Our defensive line is a real issue and i dont want to even think about it because i cant find a solution to that mess. We have way too many ageing defenders.

awesome things :D

srs tho he has brought in strootman, gervinho, ljajic, benatia, 9golan.. constantly improving team even though he's bossing over a selling team

marotta has stagnated while still spending money on crap

truth time bruh
Sabatini is at a selling club. thats why he gets the opportunity to replace better players with new (weaker) ones. Marotta already made a great team whch cant be improved so easily with a limited budget. simple

i've not said a word about pereyra husty, also gervinho has been instrumental in roma's success and a huge signing for them, pereyra not so much for us.
What success has Roma has tho?:D

Two Milan teams firing on all cylinders would punish Roma and roma are lucky the Milan teams are suffering.

oh we've had plenty of position still unsolved on this team. problem with marotta is that he likes to spend players on positions we're already stacked at.

there is no way around it, beppe has to step up sooner or later and stop fucking around with terrible signings. this team is declining and aging. He has to step up and replace some good players.

He's brought all those players...,

And they are playing worst this season. Out of the CL, and not as good/effective in Serie A.
