But oh well, lets wait until the end of August cause we had a very high bid for Iturbe, we might sign someone, but if we don't -- we'll use the money next summer to buy a top player
Yeah, I'm genuinly puzzled as well. It's better to spend 40m on a single player and neglect all other areas. Who cares that if Llorente gets injured we wouldn't have any forward to replace him, or if Vidal is out there is always good, old reliable Pado. You can always integrate few primavera players, nevermind that they are barely decent, but by playing them week in week out, they might become better players. Spend for the sake of it, every signing is utter crap if it isn't hyped enough and all players valued under 30m shouldn't be considered, as they definitely won't improve our team. I'm starting to get this.

So tell me, if Llorente gets injured tomorrow, who will replace him?
Now about the primavera that are barely decent playing them week in week out does not make them good but it makes them decent enough to be as reliable as Pereyra/Romulo/etc. and then again they may be also a pleasant surprise just like Pereyra/Romulo/etc. but even better because they cost nothing and they were not in the way of buying an establisehed difference maker for the starting lineup.
I can already see the excuses next summer to be honest. We had to pay the fees for those players we got on loan

Is it Marotta's fault that Morata got injured by our 3rd goalie? He's one of the biggest talents atm and suitable replacement for Llorente.
In the last 10 years how many players from our primavera have managed to become decent/good players in their clubs? Marchisio, Giovinco (not even him according to many), De Ceglie (terrible player), is there any other? Parolo? Palladino? Vast majority of our ex-primavera players ply their trade in Serie B or struggling Serie A clubs. If they were good enough we'd give them a chance, simple as that.

we are having a dream mercato but people still complain.

Next year: "So? We offloaded our dead bodies (Evra, Pereyra, Bonucci, Romulo, Marotta, Pepe, Padoin, Allegri, Motta, Marrone) and added quality to the squad in Bonaventura, Del Grosso, Pinzi, Mazzari and Diego Forlan."

If Vidal gets injured? Marchisio replaces him, if Marchisio is injured? Asamoah replaces him. And if somehow you got the worst luck ever and all of those 3 guys injured at the same time well then Padoin gets called up. But I guess having Marchisio, Asamoah, Peryeyra, Romelu and Padoin replacing Vidal is the only way we'll survive.
Now answer me this question, if we have problems offensively and we can't score, who can we bring in? Romelu? Peryeyra? Those two guys were not needed and should have been somebody like Nani or Shaqiri instead who could have actually added something new and much needed to this team.
The only two players we actually needed for depth were Evra and Morata. Evra was a good signing since we had no proper LB and Morata was needed behind Tevez and Llorente. Problem with Morata deal was that it was amazingly bad.

Romulo, Pereyra, at least learn our players names.
Nani is past it, he'd be terrible signing. He barely managed to string 2-3 games in a row in the last few years. Is Shaqiri on sale? Is mercato finished? Are we in Septemeber already? Calm your tits ffs.

There in lies the problem that you don't see and you call out everyone when they don't praise this mercato. Many people wanted and expected to see some offensive solutions to this season. We got nothing of the sort but we still managed to spend 50m on players that we don't really need. Like it or not but stuff like that rubs people the wrong way.
September or not, we're evaluating the mercato up until this day.
