An 8/10 for me.
-We finally got a LB and were in great need of it, this was the most important element to allow us to change formation.
-We got a decent sub CF, one that could even turn into a new Llorente in the future and cover the tactical need in his absence in a way none of our SSs could.
-We finally managed to get rid some of the deadwood, like Peluso and Vucinic and soon Quaq, still not at decent price, but that will help our wage issues
and thats a first as long as sales are concerned, that used to be our greatest weakness in mercato.
-We got another Pogba in Coman.
-Maybe failing to get iturbe will be a bless in disquise, as 27mil was way too much for a player of his class,
Roma got him at decent price, but they have apparently more influence in the Italian market.
-We have avoided wasting cash at unknown Italians like Peluso and Padoin, that would never deliver in a team of our level.
-The co own nightmare is over, we will stop bleeding cash and have better control of our youth material.
-We have yet to waste 15mil on uneeded sub CMs and other opportunity targets, hopefully we have started to learn from our mistakes,
we have better control of our budget and we used it where we needed. A LB and a sub CF were our priorities to change the formation.
The bad points is the poor money we made on sales, while we still overpay for players like Pereyra and the continous inability to finalise transfer of prestige players...
These are known weaknesses of our transfer team, we know them, but our board insists on keeping them, because this is the Juventus they want, they dont want us to compete in Europe, for their own reasons, these were not our objectives,
we could never get a Sanchez, this is not us, the board would not sanction it and our transfer manager could not finalise it,
unless he had double the money other teams would need for the transfer.
Considering what we needed, what we could get and we got, i am very pleased!!!
In previous years our transfer performance was far worse, we were spending the cash on opportinity targets on players we were covered and were failing to get the players we needed for the positions we had issues.
We were favoring players not because of their quality or future prospect, but because of their nationality.
We were unable to sell any player, even at significant loses, things have improved, they are far from perfect, but they really did improved!!

I agree for Barza but Chiello is far from old.I just can't understand a purpose for a Ogbonna purchase for 15 mil(I think more) because it was Immobile included.
And Allegri ask for Zapata,which is average or at least not better than Ogbonna and a striker.Very bad feelings about this season.Primary about Serie A.Authority lacks to a poodle known as Allegri.

BTW our mercato is not over, the likes of Shaqiri can still arrive.
And you can't leave gaps or holes in the team just because you have to do your shiny 40M signing. Someone like Morata was needed, and we need also another CF, if you want to know. We needed Evra. Wee needed Pereyra. And we do need also another back-up in the midfield. And if we didn't buy them, people like you would complain about Marrone or Padoin being "inadequate players" for a team like us, and "unreliable subs". Those would be your words, and you would crucify the board. Because THAT is the best part: those who's criticized Marotta for having a team with Peluso, Vucinic, Quagliarella, Isla as subs (like if our priority was the bench in last years), now that we managed to sell them, we complain to him for buying great young prospect as subs. You'd want a team made of very few players, all already world class and experienced.
