I'll give this mercato a 6 thus far. Not great, more mergh really.
Yup, 6-6.5 for me atm. On a positive note we managed to offload some players and reduced our wage bill, making more room for new arrivals, hopefully better ones. :xfinger:

this mercato gets a big whopping ZERO from me. Why?

Because vidal has not been sold yet. Now if u asking why sell vidal, well why kerp a player that will never reach form again and has a bad knee? Sell for 60M and buy martinez

how did i miss this gem  yes keep telling yourself we need 17 and 20 million euro subs when we dont even have money to upgrade starters.
 Yeah, he should have bought another Peluso as a sub, so people like you would still criticize him, right? Or not buying a sub at all, so people would criticize him for "not having a bench!!!111" like in former year, where he build up a great first 11 with peanuts.

Upgrade who, who did you want to upgrade? Vidal? Asamoah? Do you have any idea, if is it even possible to upgrade them, being top notch in their role, how would you spend in fee and wages (double than the rest of the team)? With 20+17 we spend (payments delayed) you can clean your ass. Or tell me, you wanted Yaya Tourè instead or Pereyra? Falcao instead of Morata? Yeah, that was realistic. Upgrade the starter... Yeah, that's fucking easy, given the team of shits we have...

What the hell is this? Upgrade our starters, dude you are so lost. Try understanding what he and many other people mean.

a 5 for me.

Interesting young players signed + Evra + Romulo, but those signings are highly overpriced and we are already mortgaging our short term future compromising to pay for them from next year on. Then Marotta will righfully say they don't have more money, and that will be close to the truth.

There's no doubt that we've added a notch of quality into this squad with these signings. Steady progress. Hopefully we'll win a CL or two again in my lifetime.

There will be no spectacular signings for us this mercato.Maybe we were good in offloading our surplus players but that's it.We won't buy any big name this mercato.Maybe our board assume this season as a transitional one after leaving Conte.I don't know.I have a bad feelings about this season and no illusion about CL.

Like you said, a transitional mercato it seems.

I think the board is convinced that our team from last season was good enought to do more, unlike Conte. So instead of buying a world beater, they are trying to close some gaps and try one more time. Also, since Allegri said he is looking for a defender... it gives me the idea that the team is trying to prepare for an era post Barzagli an Chiellini. Trying to find relacements now that theres time. I say this becaue our best defenders are the oldest and will surely past their best sooner than our players in other lines.

I agree with the board that this group has at least one more season to try and save face before we will be forced to sign some quality the next one, as llorente, tevez and specially Pirlo, will start to fade.

Selling dead weight and high wages while replacing them with system changing players like Coman or Pereyra and potentially long term solutions like Morata? Doesn't seem like a transitional mercato at all. Seems to me a very standard procedure in making sure the team maintains a certain age average and reasonable wages.

What the hell...we still have over a month left.
