Yeah what he did with Trezeguet was all about wages. He handled it splendidly too. Also, Melo was being paid ~2 million a year AND has been relatively in form for 2 seasons now yet still, Marotta fails.

We can only know after this summer if marotta is the guy for the next phase of juventus. the premium quality asset/season+youngsters phase

So i'm pretty certain he'll get extended, and if he fails this and next summer, they just terminate the contract, but i'm sure he'll manage just fine

So you're more than willing to credit him with the achievements of these two seasons yet deny him the criticism of his first season? Come on. And since you claimed he handled all the shit Secco threw his way, how exactly do you rate the way he handled his own Krasic and Martinez offload? Or was that also a Secco fault and he only did what the management asked him to. Or wait, maybe it wasn't his fault, like Alex.

With consecutive Scudetti and the CL QF, especially after what we've been up against this year with Conte's suspension, etc., this should be an easy decision for the powers that be.

He's definitely going to be renewed, IMO, and hopefully it's a 2 year deal. That way he's gets another full season to demonstrate that we're heading in the right direction (and hopefully prove that he can land an important, established player), and then if things don't work out, the club can just fire him and he'll get a bit of severance (a little golden parachute for services rendered; he has played a big role in us returning to the top of Italy - it's difficult to deny).

Continuity is important for our club right now.

Face it sluts, he's the best at what he does in Italy.

I don't want his contract renewed, but that is because I have never liked him, and never will. Kinda the same vibe/feeling I have with the likes of Giac, Padoin,and to a lesser extent Peluso. That is the subjective reason.

As for the objective part, I simply feel he has reached his limits. He is good at assembling/building a squad a la Ranieri, but doesn't have that extra bit, the X-factor to bring it/take it to the next level as a DS. Remember, he has never worked at a big club before, and expectations @ Juventus are only going to get higher henceforth.

As for being the best in Italy, I'd say Galliani is still more shrewd and experienced than him. Moreover, we are dominating Italy, and it shouldn't be hard to do so given our resources compared to other clubs. The next step is to make an even stronger impression in Europe, a lasting impression, not just a fleeting presence, and for that, I feel we need someone else other than Marotta.
