If that's the case, I'd just give Paratici full control. He seems intelligent and always having an eye for young talented players. He also looks very close to Conte, was always sitting next to him when Conte was banned from the bench.
Yup.+1.
I think we are going to give Conte full control ala Fergusson.
Doubt it,but i would be happy with such a decision.
He is currently holding two positions at Juve, as a sporting director and as CEO.

He might step down from SD with Nedved or Paratici promoted to it, and continue as CEO.
Good luck to him as the CEO then;)

This thread never fails to amaze me.

Even if Marotta "leaves" it will be a promotion to a higher position, and his right hand man (Paratici) will most likely take charge of transfers. There is no way the board are unhappy with Marotta's work during the past couple of years.
To me it's not really important who the top guy is, it's just funny to hear the idea that if we shuffle people around and put a famous player as boss it is suddenly going to change our market strategy.

The irony here being if this did happen (i.e. we bought a €30m+ player) the new chief would be building on strong groundwork put down by Marotta and co. It's more likely to happen this summer off the back of the CL campaign, but those expecting a Secco spree should go back to their FIFA team.

If you're referring to my post, I meant in case Marotta doesn't renew his contract, Paratici would be an ideal replacement. I don't rate Paratici higher than Marotta.

Basically, I just believe in Conte's work and I don't want a complete new guy in Marotta's position who could disrupt the harmony in our team.

Yeah well, Tuz becomes retarded after a defeat.

In fact, not recognizing the overall great work of Marotta is just idiotic.

It has been very good to great work to get to where they are RIGHT NOW. Especially considering where they were. The team is built to dominate Serie A for the foreseeable future and to at least make the round of 16 every year in the CL.

I don't think that can be disputed.

But this is it now. Time to deliver the 1 or 2 remaining pieces to put this team over the top. And this is on him. Everything is now in their favor. Consistent Serie A dominance? Check. Make the Champions League? Check. Advance farther than a lot of people thought? Check. A good core of players who are in their prime and players such as Pogba who haven't even scratched the surface, thereby giving the opinion that this isn't a one and done club? Check.

But it's on him now. The team has turned it around much faster than I thought they would from the 2010-2011 season, but the pieces are now in place to put the team over the top.

Maybe they are not too happy with his sales, we are unable to create any returning funds with Marotta and this has a major impact on our buying power and our ability to buy better players.
Basically said Bayern can afford to buy a 40 million player every year, we can't.
But we can afford 40mil to buy Asamoah and Isla, huh?
 Bonucci long term, he needs to be sold ASAP

As much as they recognised his "great work"after two consecutive seasons finishing at #7...
Like ppl is stupid enough not to tell that it was Conte the one who made the difference.

This was the case at the beginning of the season, but the best Marotta could do was Bendtner and then, at the x-mas transfer window, a team that couldnt afford to keep their Starter Melo for merely 6-8mil, somehow managed to snatch Sneider and Drogba while we could only bring serie B Peluso and Anelka who was "coaching' Drogba...

There always going to be excuses and more excuses, we were the champions, we were in CL directly, we had 2-3 very obvious weakness and a decent budget and we gave it away again in many average players, than just a few top ones...

relax dude, I only linked the editorial because the content was good in that specific one. Yea there is some trash on that site, but I tend not to generalize. If you hate the article then Im all for constructive criticisim, but I think if you read you'll agree with what it says.

My Modric avatar, oh that was when he scored against Man Utd :)

but yea I think I should change it

to be fair we have already surpassed the others with LLorente for free and he is the reason for nothing in January. Also I think we will spend 25-30 on a single striker but that could be debated I think. If we get Jovetic and sell Quag/<atri for say 10 mil then Jo will only cost around 20 mil or so. Plus with a few offloads we could add more depth with the rest and I think this is a good marcato

There will come a time when people come to realise how unattractive a league Serie A has become, how far behind the other top european setups it is in terms of facilities, fanbase, marketability, etc. When that day comes and only then will they have an epiphany as to why we can't attract the likes of the Van Persie's, the Suarez's and the likes.

We're having to buy from within our own league constantly and rival clubs know they can simply name their price otherwise one of the oil clubs will come in with a ludicrous offer sooner or later. Vidal, Pogba and Barzagli are proof that Marotta can shop in foreign markets though without being held to ransom .Of course there have a few dodgy signings, there's no way I can defend some of them (Martinez, Bendtner for example), but I still honestly believe the quality brought in outways these shortcomings by some stretch.

The forward line needs to be improved dramatically though, Llorente is a good start let's be honest. If however a quality SS is not also acquired, it will be hard to judge the upcoming transfer campaign as anything other than an unsuccessful one, regardless of any other positions filled.

As always I'll reserve total judgment until the start of the new season.

The bullshit all around the forum about that we can't spend big is killing me :sergio: yes, we can, watch fucking numbers :sergio: Which player wouldn't go to Juve for 4-year contract with 4.5 million salary??There are were trillion of rumours that Barcelona is about to sign Llorente but which team he has chosen?

Last summer/winter signings:
Bendtner, forward - flop
Isla, fullback - flop
Asamoah, midfielder - decent
Giovinco, forward - decent
Peluso, defender - decent
Anelka, forward - flop
Lucio, defender - flop
Pogba, midfielder - decent
Caceres, defender - decent
Leali, goalkeeper - loaned out
Masi, defender - loaned out
Boakye, forward - loaned out
Gabbiadini, forward - loaned out

Transfer expenditures: 47.432.000 £
