Juve require time and money
By Football Italia staff

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has underlined that it will take time and money to triumph in the Champions League.

The Old Lady were knocked out of the competition at the quarter-final stage in midweek after a heavy 4-0 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich.

The theory that Juventus fans will, for at least three or four years, have to just be content with winning in Italy is right,” the club official told Tuttosport.

Let us not forget that we are at the beginning of a new cycle,” he added. “If you look at our squad from three years ago, there are just four of the old guard remaining – Gigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.

Time is required for Juventus to return to its former glory.”

Marotta also underlined how important the economic aspect is when it comes to winning on the field of play.

A lot has changed in terms of finances over the last 10 years,” he continued. “Italian clubs were once leaders in revenue, but now our game is much weaker.

We’ve just finished our Champions League adventure and we’ve understood that we will need time and money to cut the gap between ourselves and the big European teams.

But time is synonymous with work and self-sacrifice, exactly what boss Antonio Conte is doing.

we need to improve our scouting and talent management, we will never be able to buy the next Del Piero, Nedved or Trezeguet.
This. Hopefully on 31th of August we won't see another Bendtner-like loan and we will at least give a chance to one of the youngsters (Boakye, Immobile, Gabbiadini, Berardi, Zaza).

Italy has no money - bla bla bla bla
He's talking about the context of the CL and winning it, so you are talking about contesting against 4-6 other teams of the highest level. If you read the list you'll see the top three clubs earned more than twice as much in that period in question. Juve are behind fricking Arsenal, who haven't done anything in this competition since 2006.

Have you seen how much do they earn from TV rights selling? Plus, the tickets at their home games are the most expensive in the world of football i guess

In another four years we will have several of our core players into their thirties and will have to begin replacing them. Hopefully Marotta has some serious wonder kids scouted; either that or go create another manager for Real Madrid and buy Pepe for 2 billion dollars.

How many of those youth players will pan out, it's not like we are buying any top prospects or some wonder kid.

All we are buying is mediocre teenagers so we can make a little profit from loaning them all over the league.
Bonatini? Buoy was meant to be a big prospect. Lets not forget that padovan is doing well. Leali? Matteus in the summer... could go on
