Read an article today, that Conte wants a complete overhaul for the attack, the only untouchable is Vucinic.
Also wants a LB, a Pirlo depute and RW.
See, and this is exactly why people end up frustrated.

Random article claims something, attributes it to Conte, gets picked up, etc => Fuck Marotta for not delivering.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Not to mention that if it was true, it would mean we need 6 or 7 new players. So quality over quantity goes right out of the window => Fuck Marotta.

The guy just has no way of "winning" the next transfer season :D

Well, if you have a history of expecting overhauls, like we do, than lets stay realistic.
Defense is okay, we need one defender to get more depth
Maybe one offensive midfielder for the depth
At least one striker beside Llorente

I don't think it's far fetched for Conte to want a complete overhaul for the attack, no coach in the world would want Quag and Matri as options :p.
I would love if we could sell both, is it realistic it remains to be seen.

Sell both, get a SS, and some promising young striker from SA.

Nah, of course Conte would want an improved attack. We all would. Just that there's a major difference between wanting & being possible.

Whatever happens, Marotta will be the most criticized man on this forum come (the end of) summer. That we can rely on :D

Saw his interview on Jazeera sport last night, looks like he's leaving as his contract expires this summer and most probably Pavel will take his place.

If Marotta stays Conte most likely will leave which is why I see Marotta the one exiting the door.

I wonder if there's such a thing as a negative IQ.

We obviously can't. Because if it backfires, we don't have the means to adjust swiftly.

Also, this summer is going to be very frustrating for a lot of people. Chances of us spending big on 1 individual player are extremely small. That much should be obvious by now.
The 'get rich or die trying' method worked well before in football.

Who else should be made accountable if not him?? Yes. There is a major difference between wanting and being possible, if you don't have the means. But if you do have the means, nthen you need to figure out a way to use them optimally, which Marrotta hasn't done for a better part of his tenure here. Either because of Conte or because of his own inability, whatever the reason, we need one person to be made accountable, and if he's the one making these decisions then he should be the one taking the fall. It seems like Nedved and Paratici maybe the new team to work things out on the mercato. It is a decision that could backfire or go really well keeping in mind Nedved and Conte's relationship. I think Nedved despite his inexperience will have a more modern approach than Beppe, in terms of more international targets. However, I won't disagree that Marrotta has made the job a lot easier for him, giving a steady base to build off over the next three or so years.

Yes, even though the management and club are hiding it which is pretty normal. But there are problems according to many sources other than Italian media.

Things went downhill with the Anelka deal. Conte didn't want this deal at all, he wanted someone else but Anelka still landed and signed. That's one of the problems that made Conte think twice if he wants to continue in Turin or not as many say.

Wow, I didn't know that, although I thought that the recent comments about not being able to compete with Bayern etc. may have been shots at Marotta. Because BVB has nearly the same budget (maybe even less) and can very well compete on that level. So....a guy who can give Conte what he wants wouldn't be that bad!

Thanks for the info!

Actually i felt it through his interview last night...it did sound like he was thanking everyone and waiving for goodbye.
Now that you're saying there are some REAL problems with Conte..wow.

Let's see how it will end up.but for sure there is something fishy as he didn't sign an extension to his coming to an end contract...
I hope our new manager will work with Conte and bring him EXACTLY what he wants.

Can't wait for the reactions on here if Marotta leaves.

If that's the case, I'd just give Paratici full control. He seems intelligent and always having an eye for young talented players. He also looks very close to Conte, was always sitting next to him when Conte was banned from the bench.
