Problem is that we have allways rushed him back on the field, because "that other ss" couldnt fit his boots

The tendinitis was seriously risking it, he played half injured for 2/3 weeks.

If that got inflammated badly, his season was over
More like half dead. :shifty: But yeah, that's the price we pay for not having decent backups.

He's the only striker i wouldn't get rid of come next window.

Damn, i miss last season's Vucinic.

Im personally gonna reserve judgement on Peluso for a little while longer. Im not saying his introduction has been anything but below average thus far however.
exactly... i think nobody says he has done great so far but those "he can´t defend for shit" comments are just retarded.
he won pretty much anything in the air and on the ground for most of the games but fucked up his (until then) very solid to good performances with two horrible errors.
of course it´s not acceptable for a defender to play a solid+ game for 89 out of 90min but give away a goal in 2 out of 3 matches but it happens... playing in a new formation, in a new team, which is struggling, doesn´t help either i guess.
i´m not ready to give up on him yet and yes, i´m disappointed right now.

btw: i´m talking about his qualities as a LCB, not as a LWB.

will there be a rating thread for the winter mercato. should be fun to read ^^

Jovetic is the summer big signing. Mark my words ma bitches.
Nah. The big summer signing is Llorente.

I tend to exaggerate and overreact but mostly it is done on purpose, like my prediction on the league table a few days ago was

1- Napoli
2- Inter
3- Milan

And some took it seriously.
I noticed you asked for my predictions in the Mercato thread that was closed, so here goes. I think the exact opposite of you: we'll win the Scudetto & beat Celtic in the CL.

If we were using 4-3-3 and Matri wasn't being used then it would be a problem. But he isn't really suited for the 3-5-2.

As things stand, I think Napoli might actually pip us to the Scudetto. As for the CL, we should still beat Celtic over two legs, regardless of how uninspiring we have been of late.

As for Llorente, if he is indeed our big summer signing, then I'm going to be terribly disappointed. Securing a guy in January (on a free nonetheless) and calling him your biggest summer signing is a bad joke.

I'd giva Marotta a lot of credit for signing Llorente for free, that is a top signing.

But we really needed a couple of GOOD signing this mercato, a goal scorer was a must.

If he is the forward that we will be relying on then we should spend big in other positions.

The summer is his last chance saloon, we cant go on with our rendford rejects array of strikers. If he doesn't do something serious in the mercato he needs to be given his P45

Well if we managed to buy him last summer for 20 million he would have been our big signing. So I dont think we should consider any less of him just because we got an amazing deal on him. But I do agree with you in saying there should be another big transfer given that we did not spend on bringing in Llorente.

I would not be upset if we spent the whole budget on just one player aside from Llorente.

*sorry I forgot to quote Bianconero81 so my msg seems out of context.
