By the time Conte leaves, we would have one 5 leagues and 3 CL, so every manager in the World would want to coach us, thought we will pick a dup of Nedved-Del Piero, and we will go undefeated for 7 years. FACT

The fact that it took you that long seems to suggest that there are doubters within the society itself, and that not all of you agree with The Great Man's decisions :p
No it took us that long because AUS and I both had to seek out Jem83, then we had to head over to The Society Sauna and cross swords. And as I said, Jem made a terrible mess, so we had to wash up.

Address to the Juventuz Community in general and the Giuseppe Marotta thread in particular
January 17, 2013

Tonight, more than 2 years after The Great Man was appointed General Manager of Juventus FC S.p.A. in accordance with the club’s right to determine its own destiny, the task of perfecting our union moves forward.

It moves forward because of The Great Man. It moves forward because he reaffirmed the spirit that has triumphed over defeat and depression, the spirit that has lifted this club from the depths of despair to the great heights of hope, the belief that while each of us will pursue our own individual dreams in the Wishlist-thread (bufoons such as Bianconero81 in particular), we are a Juventino family, and we rise or fall together as one tribe and as one people.

Tonight, upon issuing this statement, you, the haters and doubters of the Great Man, reminded us that while our road has been hard, while our journey has been long, you will always do your best to make that road even longer, and harder. But we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back, and we know in our hearts that for Juventus, the best is yet to come. For this, we thank The Great Man.

We want to thank everyone who participated in this thread. Whether you voted for the Great Man or not – whether you pounded the pavement or picked up the phone, whether you held a Marotta sign or a Moggi sign, you made your voice heard and you made a difference.

We just spoke with Cronios, Bianconero81 and Turk_Bianconero and congratulated them and Lowlife on a hard-fought campaign. We may have battled fiercely, but it's only because we love this club deeply and we care so strongly about its future. From Hustini to Deneb to the member that goes by the peculiar name of Cheese, the haters have chosen to give back to the Marotta-thread through public service. And that is a legacy that we honour and applaud tonight. In the future, we also look forward to spending more time in our Sauna to talk about how we can work together to move this Society forward.

We know that the discussion that goes on in this thread can sometimes seem small, even silly. And that provides plenty of fodder for the cynics who tell us that such talk is nothing more than a contest of egos or the domain of special interests, and who claim that history will prove them right. But if you ever get the chance to talk to folks who turned out at our rallies and cheered for The Great Man along a rope line in a high school gym – or saw folks working late at a campaign office in some tiny county far away from home, you'll discover something else.

So… Are we confident in The Great Man’s ability to lead this club on to further success even in the hypothetical absence of Mr. Antonio Conte?

The Society responds with a resounding Yes.

All hail the Great Man.

We will soon see if Marotta is incompetent or not, depending on our finisher acquisition for this transfer window...
It is up to Marotta and Marotta alone to prove us right or wrong.
The team needs a finisher to compete and regardless of how Conte and the team cope with the finisher's absence/presence after the transfer window closes is a totally different matter, beyond Marotta's hand.

Marotta's duty is to get us the finisher we need, he failed last year, he failed in the summer and now this is his last chance to prove that he had a plan and he is not carried by Conte's successes...

I don’t like how certain members think they have the authority to speak on behalf of The Society. Low-ranking peons walking out of line and speaking out of turn :disagree:
