We scored after 30 seconds, so it doesn't really matter what our game plan was as it changed at that point to a counter attack, which is wise but never worked. When you can't pass the ball 3 times in a row you can't counter attack, and even if you can if the strikers have no idea what each other is doing it'll fail.

And that's why we should have played like last season.

Possession football with alot of patience.

Tacchinardi, Conte, Ferrara, Birrindelli, Di Livio, iuliano, Torrcelli....there in an endless list of players of "limited ability" that were by no means world class that won while playing with Juventus. Sure we bought Buffon, Nedved and Thuram one summer but that was funded by selling Zidane (our best player of the time)
Juventus has always been about the team, the collective and right now we have the best squad in Serie A by some margin. hell i hate Simone Pepe but the guy grows in stature whenever he pulls on the black and white strip. Marotta has brought in Asamoah,Pogba who have already had a massive impact this year.

Marotta tried and failed to bring in a world class striker but that is more a reflection on the state of Serie A than Juventus IMHO, South American and European players would rather go play for a mid-table Premiership team than Roma,Lazio, etc because the funding these teams have far outstrip those on ofefr here. the very top clubs (the ones we are competing with for top players) are throwing offers of 300k per week around (the rumoured contract offered to RVP by Citeh)

Marotta isn't the top man but he has done a very, very good job
You're contradicting yourself. If you're saying that its because of Serie A that top players don't want to come then Marotta has really done nothing at all. Unless you feel that building a "top" squad in a sub-par league is an accomplishment.

My post-game rant is about to commence so stay tuned.

There shall be a law named after him, hence the Marotta law containing the following statements: "All the wins are due to the coach, and all the loses are due to the SD."

Actually, The Society has made it clear that all success this club has had since last season primarily accredited to their lord, master and savior.

Conversely, this loss has no relation to Archbishop Beppe's body of work. Losses are strictly tactical, not personnel driven.

How convenient, no?

I hope that Beppe at least looks his devotees in the eye as he releases all over your faces

It's the least he could because you all deserve at least that much

 @notZacheryah You are not fooling anyone :klin:

Last night's game just proved that Marotta is not flawless as his devotees and esteemed members of the society would have you believe. However, his incompetence in not getting us a top striker isn't the reason for our loss. Fatigue, bad decisions, and a lot of players looking sub-par, not to mention Inter's hunger and desire all contributed to the unexpected and untimely loss.
