All players have a local agent initially, and then guys like Raiola act as their 'international' agent. They might have several.

By the time they become a massive player, like Ibrahimovic, then Raiola would become their only agent.

It seems that The Society thinks that the criticism of their lord and savior stems from the misconception that he doesn't spend big like other clubs. That is incorrect.

Let me clarify (knowing that this is the 3rd or 4th time doing so) that its not about spending. It's about that being able to close the deal on necessary big targets. I have never wanted this club to spend above its means unlike many other clubs. The man has a small club mentality and he is applying it to a world class club. Which means he does not get the big picture. This club used to play to win Europe and winning the scudetto was just something that occurred on the way. All done with world class talent and during a time where the rest of Serie A was a top league with top players from around the world.

I held my tongue all last season and gave him a fair chance and he fractionally achieved. Yes, he assembled a good team but that team plays in a meh league at best. Winning Serie A doesn't have the same connotations as it once did. I commend him for bringing the wage situation under control but he's gotta finish building the team with the piece that this club has been missing for nearly 4 years now.

At the end of the day it's about scope, and Marotta's scope is very limited.
Tacchinardi, Conte, Ferrara, Birrindelli, Di Livio, iuliano, Torrcelli....there in an endless list of players of "limited ability" that were by no means world class that won while playing with Juventus. Sure we bought Buffon, Nedved and Thuram one summer but that was funded by selling Zidane (our best player of the time)
Juventus has always been about the team, the collective and right now we have the best squad in Serie A by some margin. hell i hate Simone Pepe but the guy grows in stature whenever he pulls on the black and white strip. Marotta has brought in Asamoah,Pogba who have already had a massive impact this year.

Marotta tried and failed to bring in a world class striker but that is more a reflection on the state of Serie A than Juventus IMHO, South American and European players would rather go play for a mid-table Premiership team than Roma,Lazio, etc because the funding these teams have far outstrip those on ofefr here. the very top clubs (the ones we are competing with for top players) are throwing offers of 300k per week around (the rumoured contract offered to RVP by Citeh)

Marotta isn't the top man but he has done a very, very good job

We had weakling but not like Molinaro, Motta, Borriello/Bendtner and Bonucci.
And among them we had world class players to compensate.
In truth, we are still way behind the Moggi level quality. But fortunately serie A sucks even more and we can take advantage of it.
Esp because of the tacticians currently running the other top clubs and the financial crisis combined with Platini's new rules.

As for the forwards, just look at what Inter got and how much money they invested and between what they and Milan have and our Bendner there is an equal distance between them and world class stars.
For the money we have spent and the position we have atm, we are doing teri-bad on the finisher department, even for the lowlife serie a standards...
and this year there were no excuses, it was 1000% Marotta's incompetense...

Erm, striker. And not buying players for the hallowed 4-3-3 formation.
We already have players for the 433, we just like to force our outside backs to play forward as a wing back despite offering little in attack and a born killer CM to play LWB.

And having Isla on the bench.
