Many players are not at their best yet. Vidal, Marchisio, Giovinco, Bonucci (of the starters) and then all the rest (talents, bench players) - they can all improve still and become even better. Vidal is a Marotta signing and if Vidal becomes even better we can only thank Marotta for doing an extraordinary job..

Baggio, first of all i'm glad you see that marotta couldnt spend outside his budged.

next, what was torrez real value at pool ? perhaps 50 mil
chelsea want to buy, pool didnt want to sell
ended up beeing sold for 90 mil

If the club doesnt want to sell, they'll likely part with 150%-200% of the players actual market value.

dzeko, would be worth 20-25 mil, but city didnt wanna sell, so no way they'd accept under 40 mil, wich they would have immediatly spend on rvp

rvp, was allways impossibru, with that sick wage of him, and man utd took a gamble, because they are allowed to have 700+mil dept, and got a gigantic revenue.

mer de noms was spot on. we need seasons like this, increasing our profile, winning or seconding scudetto's, getting group stages and possibly beyond.

our finances are in the red, we allready took risks and overspend to rehaul this team.

=>buy players for "the right price" that the coach needs, and keep signing promising players, to increase the level of our youngsters by a great deal, with an eye of possible integration in the first team one day.
Dzeko at 40m? He was on the Market for 31m euros. Shitty only took him off the mercato when they were running out of time to make a purchase themselves. You must consider that. Had we not waited till the last week, Dzeko would've been ours.

The RVP situation was actually very similar to the Aguero situation last year. But this deal didn't even break because of his wages. Had it been about wages I don't think RVP would've even come to Turin to check out the facilities and club. This deal fell through becaue of Juve's unwillingness to part with 30m for the player, a sum that they were otherwise willing to spend. Wenger even came out and said it after selling the player to United, that juve were trying to get away on the cheap. Marrotta soon after even acknowledged regretting not buying RVP, but said the 30m price tag is why the deal fell through.

Seasons like the one we had last year are once in a club cycle if you ask me. Eventually, the qualitative aspect and mentality combine to sustain success at the club. While there's no doubt we have that mentality now, I think for quite some time we are lacking match defining quality. And for me, that is only going to come at a price. Somebody needs to do something about that. There is no 'wise opportunity' argument here. We need to select a pool of targets and go all out to get them. We aren't going to be getting anything on our terms in the current climate.

Marotta has done very well for this club since his arrival. I just hope one day the man will finally get the kudos he truly deserves from the fans.
Very well? Too subjective at this point. Let's see how the season plays out.

All I am reading so far is 'ok, we don't have the money to pay those fees/wages, but we have to'.
Same old, same old.

Those who don't get it by now (or are not willing to get it), never will.

Every player has a price.
Of course. Everyone is aware of that.

Fact is, we/Juve don't care about that. We don't make our deals like that, so it's beyond me why it keeps coming up. Again and again and again.

And again.

Don't talk about it as a fact, nothing more than rumours.

We just need to get relegated and appoint one more Secco.

Let me know what you would judge as success.
I would bet that even if we won CL, for some it wouldn't be enough. The next seconds after winning we would be talking how we should splash zillions dollars on a star signing to mount a serious challenge next year, and if we don't oversplash we will surely become a laughing stock of whole europe if not the world.

It doesn't matter how succesfull and what results we get, the most important thing is that the club should be run according to their wishes and best interests, that's how you measure a succesfull season.

you basically say that

"marotta is cheap"

"30 mil price tag to high"

maybe, he has to be cheap cause we cant pay that money ?

i dont see where marotta made a mistake there tbh
We had the money like weve had the past two years, its what we chose to do with it.

Within reason, i think on the back of the season we had, anything less than a QF in the CL and a top two finish in the league would be a failure.

Juve dont make deals like that doesnt make it right. Its open to debate. The point is that, Juve need a marquee signing. As and when the club decide to make the signing, its going to cost the same kind of, or close to the money we dont want to spend today. Even with the FFP in place, i dont see how we are gong to get away on our terms like we have outlined.

Our marquee signing must come the exact way Napoli signed Cavani. It must be a player doing really, really well at a smaller club, and he must cost in the region of 20 - 25 million euros at maximum. Even with 5 CL seasons in a row we won't be taking a Benzema away from Real Madrid or a Rooney away from Manchester United. It just won't happen.

Taking the decline of Serie-A into consideration and the huge losses this club went through since Calciopoli and the scandalous Secco-era, I think Marotta has done an awesome job.

Not gonna happen at all is pushing it, but not gonna happen on our terms for sure. Jovetic is the Cavani you're referring to. But even there we made a media circus out of it instead of putting the money when things were most uncertain before JoJo met dv.

Maybe you missed the interview from Jovetic where he said he would never go to Juve. Also, it's the media's circus, not ours...they create stories on a daily basis to sell papers/get hits.

I seriously couldn't care less about star players or names. We could win the CL with 11 Molinaro-esque players and I'd still be happy. Unfortunately some have a fetish for star players and names only.
