Without an instinctive top scorer up front and the likes of Quag
and Matri instead, we do look kinda pitiful at the final third. In a way it's embarrassing for a club of Juve's stature not being able to bring home a more comfortable win with the clinical approach required from a top level team, in these sort of games.
All the depth in the world cannot compensate for this, specially at the highest level (where we want to be).
Highly doubt we can go very far this way in Europe.
just lol. We beat Napoli 2-0 and then this is posted, lol

So we won't win the CL in our first season back from obscurity, what a disgrace that is.
What I'm worried about is his approach, he issues this big hole in our first team but his solution is to wait for the right opportunity.
What if this oppurtunity (a striker, in the price range Marotta likes) doesn't come up this summer, let alone this January? and the next summer? Are we supposed to remain toothless like this for the next couple of years too just bcuz "The right opportunity" doesn't show up? (Instead of spending big for once and solving this problem for the next 4-5 years).

You make it sound as if signing the top striker is like the waving of a magic wand and we will then sweep aside all before us. What if we play a Serie A game with this top striker and lose, will your head explode?

It's pretty obvious that it is a weak spot in the team but none are perfect, not even those with an open cheque book. I see our squad getting better each year under Marotta and with it we'll get better players. To sign a player to improve the team now you're looking at quality, we don't need much more by way of the squad.

Absolutely not being sarcastic here, but was it Raiola who worked the Pogba deal? Not meaning to knock on Beppe, but since someone brought it up, just wanted to know if Mino pushed this deal through or if Marrotta pursued it?

Obviously it's not a guaranty that that kind of striker will win every single game for us, but what I'm saying is that he will 90 % of the time give us the comfortable victory/save our ass in dead locks games like this.
What pisses me off is that this team could've achieved much more with that one missing piece.

Marotta is doing better every day since he joined. His transfers are getting better, he is saving some serious cash and getting good-to-great value for money players.
Yet he can't be compared with Moggi - the old man was working in different times, where Inter and Milan were outspending each other and we were able to snatch the best players in the league on bargain fees. Now Seria A is a league where 19 teams battle for second. Bronzetti warned about it.

Napoli is togheter with us tearing serie a apart, and has proven its quality in europe last season

we win 2-0 in a hard game were we had most chances, without giving away anything

and you come up with this clinical argument, seriously, stab your eyes.

How high do you estimate the chance that the top teams dont buy a new attacker from another team, in 2 years (comming summer) or more ?

it was allready quite strange there wasent a striker transfer roulette going off this summer, as was widely anticipated.

the current team, with a even luck, should get out of the groupstage, and top2 scudetto, at least

the financial diffrence with quarter/semi CL, and scudetto, is significantly inferior to the insane cost for us to buy the player that could accomplish that.

there isnt a missing piece currently, just an attack that isnt up the level that our keepers, defenders and midfielders are

Once upon a time, this guy deserved significant criticism; considerable mistakes were made.

That time has long since past. 47 league matches unbeaten, people. Healthy balance sheet, stocked cupboard. There's a learning curve to this position, one that has been exacerbated by the current economic/sporting climate of Italian Football; given the circumstances, our beloved club is doing very well.

Have some patience, that striker is eventually coming. In the meantime, we're currently leading the league in both attack, defence... and obviously the only statistic that really matters, points. Everybody knows we almost certainly need more up top to take a serious run at the CL, but have some patience - rarely in life can we have it all at once! If the club keeps playing like this, there are going to be quite a few more interested 'big name' players keen on playing for Juventus. This team has an extremely solid foundation, and can now focus on quality; the present and future are extremely bright!
