Thats an interesting quote if I translated correctly, because he's not alluded to wages here.

What's interesting is, the reasoning behind the RVP move. It's seemingly not about the wages to him. Seems like we didn't want to spend 30m for a player in the last year of his contract. Hypothetically, if we are to get Llorente even in Jan, I think we'll have to spend between 12-15m, for a player in the last 6 months of his contract? Will that be justified or is this because of then wages for the player being much less?!? Let's see how it plays out.

A quality player is a quality player, whether they are in their last year of contract or not.

Doesn't matter where they were. RVP is another league altogether. Literally and metaphorically. If we lost out on him because of 30m and not the wages, then I'd say it was a bad move. Marrotta claims to regret it this mercato.

Giaccherini was a key player for us in many games last season, but does that makes him a player worth 15-20 mil ? A reasonable person would say no.

Matri was a player playing for Cagliari, there were hardly any competition for him out of Italy, and even in Italy there is no way any club would pay close to that fee we paid for Cagliari (certainly not the two milan broke ass clubs).

Bonucci is a disastor waiting to happen for us, we will likely to get knocked out from Europe this season (perhaps in the 2nd round) with one of his horrible errors.

you say Bonucci is a 'disaster', many people will say he has improved significantly over the past year, is now a key player for Juve and the national side. Heck Conte changed his system so that he would fit in into the backline alongside Chi and Barza. His positives outweigh his errors.

Juventus offered Drogba €10m

Juventus offered Didier Drogba a two-year contract worth €5m a season, France Football have revealed.

It emerged yesterday that the Italian champions had made an unsuccessful late bid for the player and the details of their offer have now been published.

It is being claimed that Juventus director general Beppe Marotta had lined up a €10m contract. Drogba would also have netted a €500,000 bonus per season if he featured in 70 per cent of their games.

Drogba, however, turned down the Italian champions.

Not only is his contract with Shanghai Shenhua more financially lucrative, he would have also had to pay the Chinese side a hefty fee in compensation to get his contract rescinded.

The 34-year-old Ivory Coast international moved to Shanghai during the summer once his Chelsea contract expired.

problem is also that the epl offers much more then the serie a in almost every aspect. but marotta aims for right players but getting them is a second. He needs to find a cavani or someone before they join a really big club or our rival (viola - jo jo).
