Next summer, huh? :D I wonder who it will be. Immobile, perhaps.
:D

Prices are just too inflated in January, paying that premium is such a whore. Although it may come down to that, I guess we'll see.

Let's not talk about Immobile for now. I'm trying hard to stay balanced on the subject of Marotta, and I don't like being reminded of the fact that he sold half of a young striker, on the cheap, in the middle of a season where he was really excelling. :D

I'll never understand the timing of that deal.

I see people hoping for something big in January. I have no idea why.

Falcao on loan+option to co-own the loan in 50 installments?
Too mainstream for him.

Yeah, it's not very realistic. With our budget being a bit tight, and a huge number of quality players being cup tied, options become quite limited.

Hopefully The Bendtner can pull his head out of his ass long enough to chip in with a few.

I just know that one of Marotta's achievements was to invest in good and young players.

If you look at the squad now, among important players, the oldest:

- Buffon (78) - has at least more 2/3 years in front of him - replacement: Leali (19yrs)
- Barzagli (81) - more 1/2 years in top form - replacement: Sorensen (20yrs)/Rugani (18yrs)
-Chiellini (84) - more 4 years in WC form
- Licht (84) - 3 top years from him - replacement: Isla (24yrs)
- Pirlo (79) - more 1/2 top years - replacement: Marrone (22yrs)/Pogba (19yrs)
- Vucinic (83) - more 2/3 top years - replacement: Immobile (22Yrs)/Boakye (20yrs) / Gabbiadini (20yrs)

All other important/key-to-be players, like Asamoah, Isla, Marchisio, Vidal, Giovinco, are pretty young... and there are countless young promising players controlled by Juve right now.

Marotta may have had a debatable 1st mercato, and he's had funds to work with... but now we have the best team in Italy and maybe one of the top in Europe for the present and the future.

Wow. Bendtner is underwhelming - to say the least - but I personally still wouldn't have wanted Pazzini for 12M - or maybe more. (7M + Cassano, right? Who was probably valued around 5M?).

Would much rather save that money for a prolific game changer next summer, especially considering the aggregate formula for FFP. Really doubt Pazzini would make the difference in Europe, and our second highest scoring offense did add Giovinco (Asamoah and Isla will facilitate the offense as well, I suppose). We're good enough up front for the league, IMO.

Feel like there's some knee jerking going on after his trick last weekend. Guy started his Inter career with a huge game as well...

To call passing on Pazzini a "major mistake" is just silly to me. The mistake is effectively having 12-24 months to scout forwards (depending on how you look at the situation), and then not prioritizing the purchase. That, and name dropping the Cavani's, Dzeko's, etc., when the club apparently can't spend that type of money on a striker. That's just stupid, and it's obviously going to create unrest amongst the fans.
I agree, Bendtner on a free loan > any amount of money for Pazzini.

Red and Treq seem to rate him for some reason but he's just an average striker.

Marotta: "We are in favor of Financial Fair play. Anyway football history teaches you that spending more doesn't always mean you'll win."

Marotta: "Sports law is obsolete & needs to be redone. Bonucci & Pepe could have been unfairly banned for 3 yrs because of these laws."

Marotta: "Del Piero made a choice of great enrichment by choosing Australia. He can make an important contribution to football."

Marotta: "In the Champions League we want to progress from the group stage & move forward without settling limits."

Marotta: "Conte's ban is a minus, no doubt but we are dealing with experienced, seasoned professionals."

Marotta: "Anyway the market is closed but we raised the quality of the group. Particularly Giovinco, Asamoah & Isla."

Marotta: "Ogbonna? He is a talent. If there's a chance, we'll be obliged to show our interest."

Marotta: "Of course we are interested in Llorente if he is on the market. But we'll also look at the January window independent of him."

Marotta: "I have no regrets regarding Destro. If I have any regrets, it's Van Persie. Cavani's price was unreachable."

Marotta: "Lucio is not a ripoff. You'll see. He has charisma & will be important for us."

Marotta: "Bendtner has our confidence. Conte is evaluating him & is very satisfied."

Marotta: "We spent €11m on Giovinco but had already received €5m for him from Parma earlier. For €6m we can be satisfied."

Marotta: "Buffon will renew." #juvenews

Marotta: "We retained players such as Marchisio & Vidal for whom we had offers of €60m. Not all clubs did so. Look at Milan for example."

Marotta on Van Persie: "A company like Juve cannot justify spending €30m on a player in the last year of his contract." #juvenews
