yeh i know, we have some versatility and thats good. Even pepe can play there if we send him there. We have choices this time....but we needed to in order to compete in all fronts.

but things like this makes me think more and more about why we ended with berntner...
Panic buy, I think.

'Clearly he isn't top player we wanted, but we needed reinforcements'. From Marotta, 2012. Says it all, really.

It's astounding. It's like Marotta has never seen an attacker. He's sold them, but never bought any. Apparently he knows a decent one when he sees one, the Matri, Quagliarella level. But he's no idea what a great one looks like.

Bendtner is just comical though.

2011/2012:

Elia - 9M (-5.5M) = 3.5M
Motta - 4M
Padoin - 5M
Borriello - 0.5M

2012/2013:

Gabbiadini - 3.5M + 1/2 Troisi
Boakye - 4M
Leali - 3.8M
Peluso - 2M
Giovinco - 11M
1/2 Giaccherini - 4.25M (pointless since we co-owned him for only 6 months, he could keep playing for us without having to buy the other half now)
Bendtner - 1.5M

Total: 13M + 30M = 43M.

Not all players in this list are shitty or useless, but some are just projects and we'll never know if they'll end up playing for the club. Not priorities, in other words.

Now, with an aditional 43M to some 20M - at least - we alledgely still have you tell me if we couldn't get a great striker.

Where is The Society to defend their god and the miracles he has worked to sign this piece of shit collectively known as Bendtner?

I really don't know what magic he used to pull this deal off but it's surely something that no other SD in the world could pull off :howler: :sergio:

All of you morons who rush to justify his failure in signing a top grade striker can suck my nuts.

The way he keeps signing players on Loans or Co-ownership is to me an indication that the man can't really make up his mind on these matters. I've said this last summer, and in cases where he signed players permenantly on full-ownership. Most of them failed to have an impact in this club (Martinez, Krasic, Elia...).

Worrying pattern right there, i won't be fooled with the title we won last season.
