Word is that Wolfsburg are in town for Quag, and we may sell. And Quag could be replaced by Borriello. So our attack will look lik Vucinic, Gio, Borriello, Bendtner, Matri.

I know Quag gets a lot of hate around these parts, but look at how the attack is being destroyed bit by bit.

8/10 mercato if Borriello is not coming.
6.5/10 if Borriallo comes in for Quag.

Agree with what K @ JCK were saying,it was not our fault in most of the "tries" to sign a TOP striker.

RVP,Llorente,Dzeko,Jovetic,Cavani,Higuain,Suarez and even Berba.non of these has any Marotta's fault.

Llorente-President is nuts asking for 36mil on his last year, lol.we can get him for free in January.
Dzeko-City don't want to sell, they didn't get any other striker,so they would not sell.
Suarez-His decision to stay in Liverpool.nothing you can do.
Higuain-decided to stay in Real.nothing you can do.
Cavani-50-70mil??yeah,gtfo.
RVP-decided to go to Man.utd, for crazy wages and staying in England.
Jojo-Fiorentina just did everything, but just not to sell him.and if they rejected the 30m,then fuck them.
Berba-decided to stay in England-nothing you can do.

30mil bid for Cavani at the very first week of the transfer window would have been enough...
The other were indeed unrealistic, but thats not excuse, Marotta ought to know that by now and stop wasting time with them...

On what basis do you come out with such delusional claims? What would have made them accept that deal?

early Napoli clams and the early dynamic of the market.
Only by making that bid, Marotta would earn my respect, i am almost certain that a fee of 29-32mill cash, payed in 3-4 installments would be enough!

True that, what happened to good ol cool Klin?

Cavani for 30m!? Hahahahaha

If people actually believe we could sign Cavani this summer - go hate on Marotta, none will take your critique serious anyway
Yes i firmly believe we ought to try with that sum, we didnt and wasted more than a month kidding around with it.
IMO, Marotta should have decided on the matter from pre-transfer talks, after the winter transfer fiasko that made us end up with Borriello, he really ought to know how far he can go...

So us offering €30M in the beginning of the transfer market to Napoli for their best player would mean that it's a sure sale? What would exactly stop them asking for more, considering we weren't hesitating from offering such a big fee in the first days? Considering that that would have been our first attempt, doesn't that mean that we would have been ready to go even higher?

You have no point buddy - no point :)
You didn't even understand.

We could've had at least one of JoJo, Suarez, Cavani, Higuain and Dzeko if we had focussed on them and nobody else. And approached the mercato with the intent and willingness to spend on a player deemed good enough to be of marquee quality as all of them are. Instead we went looking for s bargain.

I believe it would maximise our chances, they would have the time and the cash to move on for a replacement and with that cash in their pocket secure their primary targets.
At worst case scenario, we wouldnt waste any more time with them.

Marotta can't get the job done at the highest level. This is his third summer mercato attempt and he has failed to buy a WC player every time.

Simple as that.

Don't make excuses please.

What would you have said if we just signed Llorente this Summer without signing Asamoah, Isla and Giovinco?
