I sense desperation in his words. I feel that this interview might be used as his "excuse" if we fail to sign a quality/top striker. I agree it's hard, but it's not as hard as he makes it out to be. I think Marotta needs to be more flexible and learn the art of compromise  :p

He should just spend whatever the other clubs are demanding from us.

If he finds this job so hard, he should better quit and start selling flowers near graveyards,
erm, maybe not, as he is that bad at selling things...

At any case, Juve deserves someone better! As we have upgraded our personel elsewhere, given the chance that we are back at top, its time to lure a better manager as well.
Someone who can sell players for decent prices and find a decent forward after spending a whole summer to look for one...

You'd be perfect for the club Cronios.

And of course you are the best candidate. You either do it or shut your mouth.

You realize he has something called a budget to work with right? This is real life not a video game.

The usual suspects are out in full force to defend Marotta, I see. I was merely stating that other clubs aren't going to make life easy for him. If he wants to get a certain type of player, he's going to have to compromise one way or another. Clubs and their sporting directors aren't just going to bend over for him. I wasn't suggesting that we bend over for them either, but his verbiage seems to suggest that he is setting us up for another excuse, if we fail to land a quality striker, and end up with Borriello or Osvaldo.

Thank you for the nominee dear comrades, but i am afraid i would have to decline,
there are far more experienced and proven directors out there.
Juve deserves the very best, no more risks an compromises.

Marotta had his chances, but he has failed again and again to lure our priorities and sell players without conceding major capital loss.
I fit wasnt for Conte, we would still be struggling because of him.
This year he had the simpliest task, two starters (CF,LB) and 2 subs (CM,CB)
the same he had since he got here, but now, there is no need to rebuild and no CL and non-competitive handicap,
and yet... he has failed again... and he now admits that it is too hard for him to do his job...

Ideally, apart from the exp, i would fancy someone with the prestige of Lippi or Capello...
We are on the top now, atm we can lure anynone!

All what I hear from this guy is :blah::blah::blah:

It's tough to sign quality players, it's hard. Well guess what, it's never easy to do that and "you" were hired to do exactly that. It's his job to sign those players if he can't handle that task then good luck in sampdoria or wherever small ass clubs he was in.

And pleease, no smart ass starts to lecture us about how tight and limited our budget is !! The guy already wasted more than 60 mils on the like of Bunocci, Martinez and other average players. We've already heard dozens of excuses during Secco's era, we were already there.

Have you seen me defend Marotta? No, but that dolt Cronios deserves to be shut up forever.
