Then you shouldn't be worried at all, right? I mean we still have Conte. So it doesn't really matter who Marotta signs? Why worry? We still have Conte

Because unlike this year, the Milano clubs wont be oversaturated with consecutive wins and titles.
Because rallying the troops and force them to overperform is not easy to perform with consistency every year and with the same performance.
And because the Milano clubs have the prestige, financial background and political influence to bounce back at any time, we must try to consolidate our position.
I never worry for the current year, i see the big picture and plan ahead.
As for the championship and the coming year, i agree, with Conte alone we could be a serious contender, even without any transfers!
One more reason, why wasting money on quantity is useless...
But i would like to see us becoming as competitive as before, there is a lot of work to be done to reach there and this cannot be done within a year, but if we start adding 2 WC starters every year, we will, some day, the more time we waste on quantity over quality, the more time we will need to reach there...
When we got out of Serie B you couldn't expect world class signings in every position for a few seasons. There was no money for it and hence the policy of signing mediocrity. It had more to do with funds and who was willing to come play at Juve than signing strictly Italians. It just turned out that many of the mediocre signings happened to be Italian. Big surprise...Juve plays in Italy. Italian players are available in abundance in Italy. Unless you have some concrete proof that this was official policy, you can't make those kinds of generalizations. Otherwise it's just pure speculation on your part.
