He doesn't get a solid A, far from it. Failing to address our biggest need, and an urgent priority in a world class striker who can bang the goals, unlock defences, and make the difference in Europe will definitely deem the Mercato passable at best, and that's because he padded the team with quality players for depth.

However, his inability to negotiate beyond Italian borders, conflicting messages, and empty promises may come back to bite us in the ass, and haunt us.

People fail to realize that last year there were no expectations/no pressure. We weren't expected to win, but against all odds we did. Moreover, we had no European commitments, so we were always well rested compared to our rivals. This coming season, we are potentially one Chiellini or one Pirlo injury away from a potential meltdown. Fortunately, Serie A is quite balanced and weak, so we can utilize this to our advantage. However, a forward line of Destro, Giovinco, Vucinic, Matri, and Quag is hardly something to be impressed by, unless you are a Roma or Lazio, which we are not.

in defending of Marotta the Mercato aint even started.. but fuck this bullshit i don't think he will make it and get this top class CF. :D
