:agree: Would you be satisfied with Dzeko? I wouldn't be unless it was with Destro as it is pretty clear that Jovetic won't come. Unless we plan on playing him as a CF
Yes,I would, but I don't think this is going to happen.

My interpretation of what he said was that they are looking for the type of player(s) who can help now and in the future.

Talented young player (s) who have somewhat established themselves that can grow into being the part of the new core of Juventus.

Players such as Destro, and in my opinion, who I think the main target is, Jovetic.

O hai, first unbeaten 38 game league season says STFU.
Thats because of Conte, not Marotta, Conte could have done the same, with Secco's signings, learn how to judge properly or STFU yrself...
So now, the board decides which players that have to start
Transfer campaign is still to come and you're allready bleeding from your vagina.
Cronios, you're deslusional or the biggest, and by far, the most annoying troll on this forum.
You do sound like a troll more than i do, your post contains more insults than arguments...
For seven years i have been proving how and why, our board makes decisions based on those nationalistic criteria, from early June just like now and for seven years ppl claim thats early and expect them to turn around and sign the players we need, till the very last day. But it never happens, so here we are now, re-living the same moments again...
So i better start raising this question as soon as i see the first signs. Since i see that ppl never learn...

The ussual amount we spend every year in the past 7 years is 50mil, plus cash from the sales.
We ussually spend it all on CMs and SSs and buy cheap/free squad players as defenders.
ATM, we have comitted 30mil on 2 CMs, about to commit from 15-20 on two more and are considering 15mil SSs.
The interest for above than Peluso-like defenders is still at minimum.

This is exactly how it started in the past 7 years. 7 consecutive years is not a coincidence and each and every year we were hoping for the best, we were told that this time we will favor quality over quantity, untill the very last day... but every time it was proved to be any empty promise/hope...
Yeah, "Has" look into the future, when we are going to play in three tournaments. You think Barzagli can play them all matches again?
Exactly! And even if he does, even one of the other 2, miss a few matches, because of injuries/suspensions, we will be forced to play a youngster or an offensive wingback as CB,
lets say this happens in the CL vs Barca or in the cup final vs Napoli, or in a title decider vs Milan.
Wont we regret not having a decent back up solution, then?
For the 3 CMs, we already had more options and opted to invest further 30mil (so far at least) for depth, why forget the defence? (again?)
Our defense has been the best in Europe What are you talking about?
Our defense, not our defenders though, Bonucci is far from the best defenders in Europe, actually considering his frequent blunders and catastrophic mistakes, the fact that he was a liability for the greater part of the season and before Borriello arrives, he was with great consistency, our weakest player on the pitch,
he can hardly be considered decent, let alone good or top. So there is a lot of space for improvement there.
And although serie A is weak now and we might not need it, why shouldnt we close the quality gap between us and the Milano based teams and further improve our team, for both the domestic and the CL performances?

Even Barca or other nearly flawless team, seek out ways to improve, why not us?
Because we have won a title/decade in the decaying Italian league?
We are an international power, or at least we aspire to become yet again, we are the proud of Italy, the standard barrier, we set the bar for everyone else to follow!
This has always been the case and IMO is also a reason why the Italian championship is becoming weaker and weaker.
Because we are not there to keep those standards up there.
We are Juventus FFS, we have some high standards of high quality football, we should not forget that! Never!

So your problem really isn't Italian players at Juve...it's mediocre Italian players at Juve.
Exactly! And i dont mind their presence that much, as much as their untouched starter status.
Borriello is a classic example, there is no other chance that he would be considered a starter, in a non-Italian Juve level team!
And i dont believe that we would tolerate such mediocrity, if he wasnt Italian.

I dont mind him because he is Italian, i mind him because he is a crappy player.
The fact that he is Italian though, unfortunately comes first and we tolerate his crappy performances!
This is what i criticize.
He underperforms, he needs to be replaced, i dont mind if the player who will replace him will be Italian (Rossi) or not (Cavani),
the fact is that he must be replaced by a better player, but he is tolerated because of nationalistic reasons, thats what really matters!

Another classic example is the defense.
Italy atm lacks talents in the defence, thats pretty obvious, by taking a look on the roster of the NT.
The NT could have called any Italian player, regardless of his contract and club cost.
But the choices are so little and so limited, that the best they can do is call our men and between them and the rest, the next best choice is a DM.

This is a proof that there no options of equivalent or better quality of Italian defenders, so its time to look elsewhere for this particularly area.
But we insist on bringing Stendardos, Grossos, Molinaros, Mottas and Pelusos.
Of course, naturally the NT will pick up our pick, because that would be the lesser bad.
But why should we limit ourselves with Italian options in each and every line?

We should make some exceptions, in order to keep the balance.
I m not saying to buy the best options we can in every line and become the second Internationale, most certainly not, we have, always had and will have, an Italian core.
But since we cant find another decent Italian CB (simply because there is no other one, xcept than Nesta and maybe Rannochia),
we should make a compromise and buy a foreigner.
Buffon, Bonucci, Chiellini and Barzagli are enough to keep our Italian core, a Rolando, Dede, Vidic or whatever among them, would not turn us into Inter. Thats what i mean by keeping the balance.

But a Bocchetti, Astori or any other crappy/mediocre/overrated Italian player, who is only considered, simply because he is Italian and thats the best Italy may offer atm, wouldnt...

At any case, my point was that With Asamoah, Isla and Pogba as our first acquisitions, the days of Ital-Juve project,
(of favoring nationality as the only criteria), are finally over!
And personally i m glad for that, not because i hate Italians, but because of the restrictions, on quality, this policy has imposed to us, in the past seven years, are now finally lifted!

And for that, a big  and the board, coach or President or whoever it was the one demanded that!
I tried to make a positive notice here, but the nationalists and my haters are so desperate to attack me...

Shameless attention seeking lol.

But either way, unbeaten league season and our transfer policy being harmful to performance are not compatible, whoever you credit, so basic bs.

Hehas some points tho..

Next season is long..... and players like chiellini, bonucci and barzagli will be everygame in everygame out. We need at least one more CB for rotation..... because if for example one of the latters get suspended and the other injured...we will have to r¡start inventing and using caceres, vidal etc as centrebacks....
we dont want that.
