why can't italian coaches handle transfer like in england? is it some traditional thing or simply incompetence?
The theory is that it can bring greater continuity.
The DS can have a plan and buy players and then appoint an appropriate coach.
If that coach fails, another one can be chosen who should be able to work with the squad assembled.
The British system can lead to a manager building a squad that only he coul want and then a new manger is going to want to come in and completely change the squad, leading to greater upheaval.
That's the theory, I think. Obviously both systems have good and bad points.
