"CONFERMEREMO L'80% DELLA ROSA. FAREMO ACQUISTI DI QUALITA'" - Come funziona la macchina del mercato Juve? «L'anno scorso e quello prima, nei quali dovevamo ricostruire l'organico e quindi chiudere parecchi acquisti, procedevamo in modo molto analitico.

The hug will Andrea last week proved that they have a good working relationship. He'll get an extension and rightly so.
His contract runs till 2013.

I don't understand you either cause I didn't say that.
Obviously you didn't say that. You complained about him not getting us the top striker we wanted. What did you want him to say in this interview?

Didn't he say something like "We went for quantity last summer, we'll go for quality this summer and perfection next summer"?
They say that since 2006, but they never actually mean it...

But still, chance are that we can always do worse right?
Like Secco worse... That's true, we are so cheap....
sacking marotta would possibly be the stupidest thing the management could do this summer. if we wanted to sack him, we should've done it this summer. not after he made 4-5 signings which actually increased the quality of the team. all that money spent could well be out the window if we get a new sporting director with other visions.

on top of that, he seems to have a great working relationship with conte, for the sake of our team i wish we don't sack marotta, not while we're getting results.
Actually you seem to like marotta more than juve...

“We will sign players who perhaps might not hit headlines with their names, but who will be useful for the style of football our Coach plays.”

So much for that top striker we all want.
same ol BS, I TOLD YOU SO, though... Fool you once, shame on them, fool u 7 times? ...
I don't understand you guys. Do you want him to say that we are going to spend €100 mill on two great strikers?
No, we don't want him to say anything, we want him to buy one of them... But he already started to make excuses.
you want marotta to publicly say we want a 30mil beast, so clubs can prepare to play hardball for it, and other potential buyers are on their guard ?

I cant understand why people dont see it like that. must be the weather
No wait, when its good, its down to conte, when its bad, its down to marotta, when its agnelli, its also marotta !
Funny fellow, reminds me of secco's lovers... The funnier thing is that actually 2 days ago button admitted quite the opposite...
And imo, its a disgrace not to reckon the work of a miracle maker, after all we have seen and after all the handicaps marotta and the management put him through... Heck, the man even survived Borriello, even if that costed us the title...
One of the previous coaches would have ranked us 9th...

excuse me, did you just compare vidal and pepe as the same type of player? vidal will be one of the best midfielders in the world one day. just because you run much doesn't mean you can't be world class, it's when running is your only attribute - that's when it becomes a problem. vidals got the technique, vision and longues to be on everybody's list.
I'm sure I meant someone else when I typed Vidal there :D MY point is you can't win with heart, grinta, and hard work alone. You need talent, and players who can make a difference.

I see the sarcasm and yes,we should sack him. He's done better with each mercato but still not good enough. He had a LOT or money to spend and the team doing well this season has a lot to do with Conte and some of the players in this team.
Conte is really the reason we are in the position we're in. Marotta could have done far more with the funds at his disposal. Funnily enough its quality forwards that we lack and yet that was where most of Marotta's focus was during the last mercato - Elia and Estigarribia virtually complete failures, Giaccherini has been unsurprisingly mediocre and Vucinic was never going to make a huge impact for the 15M that was paid for him, Matri hasn't been bad but again was overpaid for, Borriello... need I say more?

He might snatch a few quality players here and there but overall Marotta is a big waster and it shows with the amount of redundant forwards we have in our squad.

"Conte deserves all credit" :howler:
I didn't say that. Don't be like a journalist, misconstruing my words, and interpreting manners to suit your own purposes you neanderthal :p

Marotta does deserve some credit, but Mike mentioning that we are first and undefeated has a lot more to do with Conte than Marotta in my humble opinion.

However, Conte deserves far more credit for what he has done this season than Marotta.
