I see the sarcasm and yes,we should sack him. He's done better with each mercato but still not good enough. He had a LOT or money to spend and the team doing well this season has a lot to do with Conte and some of the players in this team.
sacking marotta would possibly be the stupidest thing the management could do this summer. if we wanted to sack him, we should've done it this summer. not after he made 4-5 signings which actually increased the quality of the team. all that money spent could well be out the window if we get a new sporting director with other visions.

on top of that, he seems to have a great working relationship with conte, for the sake of our team i wish we don't sack marotta, not while we're getting results.

“We will sign players who perhaps might not hit headlines with their names, but who will be useful for the style of football our Coach plays.”

So much for that top striker we all want.

I don't understand you guys. Do you want him to say that we are going to spend €100 mill on two great strikers?

Dunno about you but I want a 20 goal striker, not necessarily one with a big name.

you want marotta to publicly say we want a 30mil beast, so clubs can prepare to play hardball for it, and other potential buyers are on their guard ?

The Del Piero comment?

He's probably thinking that he shouldn't be saying anything contrary to what his boss, Andrea Agnelli, has already said.

And he's right - any change on the Del Piero position has to come from Agnelli first.
I cant understand why people dont see it like that. must be the weather

but we need to sack him! it's not like he built the team which is fighting for the scudetto and on the verge of securing chl football again!
No wait, when its good, its down to conte, when its bad, its down to marotta, when its agnelli, its also marotta !

He could also be reaffirming what Agnelli and himself think about this situation at this point in time. In both cases, he shouldn't have said anything on the matter.

He's not in a position to have a say on this, and his answer was just plainly unnecessary. Like it has been already said in the DP thread, it could affect the player's performances.
