Well, one thing you can't deny Marotta is that he's made a football team that's a real pain in the ass to play against, not to mention to beat. I love the fact that he opted to make a team, first and foremost.

I know that you crave star players, for this has been your gospel for a long time now. I want to see a couple of more world class players too, because at the moment we only have Pirlo in that category.

But I think it's great that he made sure we had a really strong team first. And then, next summer, we can sprinkle one or two star players on top of an already competitive squad, at least that's what I hope will happen.

If we go about it in that way, I think we'll be ready to win titles again already next season.

If he somehow manages to get back to his 2008-10 form, he will be.

However, he needs to play in the center and hopefully, we'll get Ansaldi in January so Giorgio can go back to partner Barzagli.

And another thing, is he actually that good? I have to admit I don't think I've seen him play, but I notice he only has 1 cap for Argentina. And evidently the past few Argentina managers have preferred Rojo, Zabaleta, Monzon, Zanetti and Clemente Rodriguez etc over him? None of those FB's are anything special at the moment as well.

we were linked with him last summer, and again recently. he shits over zabaleta to say the least, but since Conte seems won over with Chiellini playing left back, its began to die down again

There are no convincing centre backs available in January, not even hummels by what paratici is thinking atm, yet there is Ansaldi for left back, and switch Chiellini back to the centre. I remain in hope, i absolutely f*cking love Ansaldi, and for those who are unaware of him, just imagine lichsteiner with a argentine passport that primarily plays left back, and can also play on the right

If the club don't want him going over 6m, then howTF is he going to get an Aguero-level player next summer?

A WC CB is possible <6m but the forward will probably a step lower (like Nasri) or someone unproven in big leagues.
