I am willing to give Marotta and Conte the benefit of the doubt.. The fact is we dont have the pull in the transfer market that we used to have in the Moggi days and we wont until we are continually playing in the Champions League and fighting for the Scudetto. Let's wait and see how the season pans out, then make your judgements on Marotta and Co.

Patience is all we have im afraid... all i read on this forum is comments from negative fans who say how bad we are bla bla.. if you think we are a club full of no-hopers and have no chance to win anything, then go support Barca. I guarantee you'll be forever smiling.

I will never go and support another team, but it's frustrating to see us suffering and struggling, and with no real leaders across the board, the signs for the future are worrying.

Serie A is very weak now, so making the CL every year is a minimum requirement.

Of course it's frustrating to see us struggling like this, but I am not worried about the future. I KNOW we will return to the big time, it just takes patience because ever since Calciopoli, we have had to build from the bottom up, and we dont have arabs who can give us a billion dollars to revamp the squad in one season, we have to make do with what we've got and just hope that the work we are doing pays off, unfortunately it hasnt in the past 2 years. Theres only one person you should be venting your anger at, and that is Moratti!

How about selling Trezeguet and then having to suffer until we bought Matri?

Considering all the money he's had, it hasn't been that great of a mercato, especially with that dumb shit he said about three quality players. But I'm still hopeful and I think we'll have a good year and probably qualify for CL. I'm really hoping we get a top notch left winger and not Elia, that'd be a waste of money.

without marrota we would be relegation battlers.

if secco was still here, we would be fielding serie b players the likes of poulsen, dzeko, giovinco, diego and cannavaro. marotta saved us from relegation. his purchases this season have been smart tactical choices between him and what conte wants.

trust me guys i know what i am taking about. my expertise level is over 9000

Im in the middle with Marotta still but its true even though hes not signing these proven WC players hes signing players that fit Contes style of play instead of just buying. Given the fact Juve dont have the same pre2006 status his signings this year have been satisfactory but he still has work to do and I think this LW position is going to make or break what people think about how well he did or didnt do this summer. Hes in a tough spot because he only has 2 options that we know of. Vargas and Elia. Vargas who is proven in Serie a but plays with a team who we dislike and will not sell to us easily or anywhere near the cheaper side of his asking price. or Elia who is unproven unhappy with his current situation and currently inconsistent but alot cheaper and has the potential to shine if put in a high pressing offence

Vidal, Pirlo and Lichtsteiner are not three quality players for you?

How about Vucinic?

:shifty:

Pirlo's old, Licht is an upgrade, Vidal's great, and Vucinic is a great albeit inconsistent player but we both know he lied about the players he was going to get. I'm not bitching at him for what he's done but for what he hasn't.

How about Vucinic?

It's amazing how some people are praising Marotta for doing his job, which is the bare minimum that is required of him.

It's not as if he has pulled off any amazing signings, or surprised us with a promising youngster of WC potential. The guy has made the squad slightly more competitive. It was never going to be that hard finding a better RB than Motta, who is absolute shit, or getting Pirlo and Pazienza on a free
when their clubs didn't actually want to renew their contracts.

Lets be honest here. Sure, our team has been improved but to be honest its not that hard to improve from fullbacks like Motta and Grosso. Vucinic, Pirlo and Vidal will be good but do I think that'll take us from 7th to atleast 3rd? Probably not. Do I think we could have done better this mercato? No, not really. The only signing I don't like is Ziegler since he's brought in to be a starter and I think he's crap and De Ceglie will put him on the bench.
