i think marotta is going about rebuilding the team this season the right way.

there's a reason he is a director of a club, while you guys are jobless bums living in your mother's basements.

Tell me how Pirlo Marchisio Vidal vucinic krasic matri are not good enough to get us to 3th? Its no star studed line up by any means but alot more sound and reliable players then Melo sissoko amauri iaquinta. We didnt have issues with Inter and AC remember is was those damn chievos, udineses and palermos. Iv already been a massive improvment on our defensive play even if its against shit opponents but considering America and Chivas were both 1 game in there season already they were alot more fit and Mexicos football is naturally more attacking so taking the fact we didnt give up a goal is huge. wouldnt of happened like that last season. So I feel are team is improved enough to win against those lower teams. Milan won last year because their system worked for them and Allegri is a good coach. We will see what Conte can do and I see good improvments already. So Marotta didnt pull of amazing signings but he made the right signings. People need to realize we are not the juventus of pre 06 we made huge mistakes in the last 5 years but this year by far is improved and given the fact our only goal is to get atleast 3rd Marotta has done his best to make that happen now its up to the players and Conte. Id would much rather have Vidal Vucinic and a possible LW and CB then an Aguero and 5m left to spend. We will not get Nani, Hazaard, Nasri, Mata until we set up a foundation thats concrete and always improving. We arnt there, we are starting over again. anyone who knows football other then freakin stats and FIFA 12 knows its more to it then just WC players. Look at Real Madrid, enough said.

Tedious and Boring. If you set out to aim for 3'rd, you are setting yourself up for failure. The problem is, the squad is built to guarantee 3'rd place,
not challenge for the title. Hence, any miscalculation, streak of bad luck, injuries, or the coach's system failing to work, and we are fucked. After
that, it's back to the drawing board again, and commencing from square one.

As I said, I accept the fact that we are vastly inferior to the likes of Milan and Inter. However, having said that, and with a weak Serie A and a new stadium, we should be comfortably ahead of the likes of Napoli and Roma, which unfortunately isn't the case.

Goal.com has an article on top 20 transfers of the summer transfer window till now. Juve has 3 signings in the list Vidal, Lichsteiner and Vucinic. Vidal is on 4th place behind only Sanchez, Aguero and Sahin. This is just an article but is interesting to see what a neutral thinks about Juventus transfers.

My opinion: Vidal, Licht, Vucinic and Pirlo will make the difference this year.

Because goal is such a reliable source, and some neutral novice trying his hand at journalism is a credible source
Would Moggi be considered a reliable source, since he has praised the captures of Vidal, Lichsteiner, and Vucinic, and has stated that Ziegler has a chance to be one of the top 3 fullbacks in Serie A this season?

Moggi is a credible source, but lately he has been all talk. I am not disputing that these signings are good signings, but the market has been rather dull and poor this summer, so no surprises that they rank so high.

Milan, Inter, Madrid, Manchester United, and even Chelsea haven't really made headlines. Pastore to PSG, Aguero to Man Shitty, and Sanchez to Barca have been the headline grabbers for me.

What else could he do though? :p

You just said it yourself then, dude. The market has been uninspiring all over Europe, not just with Juventus. There aren't those true world class players out there that are available. The three you mentioned have the potential to be world class, but you could argue that as of right now, the only one closest would be Aguero, and look at how much he went for, and what his astronomical salary is as well.

Teams aer paying World Class fees for players that are not yet World class. Sanchez had a good half season last year, as did Pastore.

All in all, the market has been barren compared to the previous few years.

I've read Moggi's comments on Vidal, Lichty and Vucinic, but I didnt know he (sort of) praised Reto as well? Nice.
I'm trying to find the quote. I think it was on Tutto mercato Web. I had seen it during the forum down time, and I had to read it twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things

Moggi said before that Ziegler (and Pazienza) wouldn't make it onto the bench for his team, they would be in the stands, so he's either turned hypocrite (again), is going senile or it wasn't actually him who praised Ziegler.

I swear I saw something very recently where he mentioned this. I wouldn't make this up. I think I had seen a post a couple of days ago here as well where they mentioned that they saw it on a facebook page as well.
